Tradeogre has put the stellite wallet (and quite a few other wallets) into "maintenance". I asked tradeogre admin why and when it'll work again, and he said "it will be in maintenance until they fix their software". I suppose stellite devs know what fix he's talking about, but I don't - can anyone explain what exactly needs to be fixed?

I am in their discord every week and everything seems fine. Although the price is not going in the right way tho.

I don't follow coins on discord, but I don't remember stellite devs ever talking about any problems in this thread. Last time there was a problem - remember how v1.2.4.1 was broken and daemon would just stop syncing after a while - they didn't say anything here. That was a bug in monero (and it got fixed by monero team), but stellite wallet had the same bug, and the daemon had to be restarted regularly in order to continue syncing (lots of stuck deposits on tradeogre at the time). They fixed it in a couple of days (released v1.2.4.2), but said nothing here during that time, which was frustrating cause you'd expect to hear about the problem from the devs working on the solution, and not from tradeogre's admin, after your deposits get stuck time after time.

Then there was a guy that (allegedly) found some weird spying shit in the stellite daemon: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2813261.msg37729113#msg37729113
No one else said anything about that, and when I asked the devs for a comment, I was also ignored.

And now it seems to be the same story: there is some sort of problem, exchanges don't work, devs are probably even working on a solution, but aren't saying anything. Which is frustrating. I don't know, maybe they think that only exciting announcements and good news should be posted here, and whenever anything bad happens it's better to keep quiet until it's fixed. Which is not a good tactic in my opinion... whenever users get frustrated with something, they expect to hear from devs, and when they don't, they are more likely to start dumping their coins and moving on.

Same way as with other cryptonote coins - by running the daemon with the "--data-dir" argument. In windows I usually just create a .bat file with something like this inside:
"stellited.exe --data-dir D:\wallets\stellite-1.2.4.2"

Then first launch "stellited", when you're synced you can open the GUI wallet. Close stellited only after closing the GUI.

Stellite lose their price too fast. It scares... I saw it many times. The coin price is less and less and then the coin becomes almost dead. It happened often especially after the fork. But if you like to risk, then you can fill your bags cheaply.

I sold half of what i had. And I'll be glad if i'm wrong.
