Now I can stay without gambling as long as I want. I have a job now which can help me to forget gambling and fortunately, most of my friends aren't gamblers.

When you had no job it should have been even easier to stay away from gambling. You had no income so you had no money to waste which made gambling extremely risky. You weren't playing for fun like most people do but for the next month's rent or fuel for the car. That's rough.

That is really great since gambling is one of the things you can't just stop or control. I've been in this situation in the past and I can tell you, it is really hard but I stop these addiction when I also had my job though I still gamble but in a way that I can control my self from doing it. Having a friend that do not really gamble is a great thing since you can stop yourself or your friend can stop you and you will not be having an influence to them.

That should always be the case for most gamblers honestly, and anyone who cannot stay away from gambling for a long time actually must have started tending towards addiction. Gambling for me is a once in a while thing and something to just do to have some little fun just like when you want to go watch movies, or play some sport game or go clubbing as the case may be. Only those who take gambling seriously more than a game or as a way to make money would be the ones, wasting all their years gambling their way out.

Surely! I must obey your points. I am not going to any argument, but what I think about often, gambling should be an enjoyable leisure activity! Ensure you remain in control the amount you spend gambling.

Gambling could never be an enjoyable leisure activity, I'd prefer something else to be called enjoyable where I know that I could earn money safely and I won't lose money like in gambling. You have to be mature enough to stay away from gambling, because if you are just going to think about yourself, and not going to look the bigger picture, I'm afraid you are taking the wrong way for your bright future.

I think the timing is right  for you since you have determined you are making losses instead of profits because gambling must not be  for you and you probably are anxious at recovering what you had previously lost and that mentality alone should make you quit. I can however stay without gambling when the footballing season is over for say 3 months and then come back again to gamble since i am mostly gambling on sports especially football.

It’s very hard to stop gambling especially when most of your peers are gamblers and what I have realized is that those without jobs are the ones who are mostly gambling because they want money to do other things but once they get jobs they somehow stop gambling.

I can say that i can live without gambling. Gambling for me is plainly just for fun not like those who are addicted to it because their intentions to play is earn from it, because of greediness which is actually not the concept why gambling was created. Even at home we used to play card games with my friends but then i realized that it is just a waste of time.

Well we always stick to what we enjoy even if it's not productive until it burns us. Good for you that you manage to turn around after getting shocked. Some addicted gamblers are so deep in their addiction that they can't do it by themselves.

I don't find myself to be addicted to gambling necessarily; but rather it's a hobby that I thoroughly enjoy.
While some addicts absolutely need to place a bet every single day (even a small one), I thank my lucky starts that I do not fall into this category.

That's the different between casual and pro player.
Sometimes , there were grey player which got addicted once they win or loss from gambling because people usually said that they got inspired !

If someone is not yet addicted to gambling then they can stay without gambling for the rest of their life but everyine got addicted to something in the world so they can't live without it.For me I can stay without gambling even the rest of my life and I can even can control my game and my mind when came back to gambling.It all depends on the metl strength of each personnel.

Many gamblers can quit after get a big loss. At least they can stop the addiction. On the other hand, there are also gamblers who after many times encounter big problems caused by gambling, but still can't get out from the circle of gambling. People have their own way to get rid of gambling addiction.

In my own point of view, i can control myself from playing gambling even for a long time by finding things to do like playing basketball or going to the gym rather than thinking to gamble. It is great to know how would you to control yourself because if not you are experiencing extreme addiction in gambling.

I think you are a simple gambler and not a gambling addict because gambling addicts can’t ever talk like this as they have everything in gambling and they will die if gambling will be removed from their lives even for one day. Yeah! Gambling addict can leave gambling only when he will find something more interesting than gambling and I don’t think they see anything more interesting than it.

It is just the game of mind and nothing else if you are ready to stop gambling, then you can do that quite comfortably and that you be needing any kind of motivation for that in that case. It is better to stay away from any such thing as this will only result in loss of your money and that is of no use. You need to realize that gambling is nothing but a game where you play and lose all your money.

Thats a kind of situation is with me cant stay away from gambling a single day.As long as i have money in my account i continue to gamble and i cant stop myself.I keep gambling until i loose my money then i stop...that is a strong addiction and i am trying hard to stop that.

I've been addicted to gambling before but since my determination is so strong to stop gambling and by the help of my love ones little by little I can control my addiction. Honestly I still gamble but I already put limitation to it and I look for another ways to make my self busy or divert into something that I know well.
