I can stay with out gambling for a couple of days if ever I am busy but if I am not I will always make a way to gamble somewhere near to my house with my friends or neighbors , gambling was my pass time everytime I felt bored staying at the house.
Anyone that is even having a problem from staying away from gambling is actually having a problem with gambling addiction as that is the best explanation I can actually give to it. Gambling should be for fun and not some activity that should be routinely done every single day.

Personally, I can stay away for as long as I want to stay away. There are just sometimes that I just miss the fun from the blood rush and the people around, and after quenching that thirst for it, I am a

I have not entered the casino ever since I committed that I will never gamble. Its about 3 years already. I learned the hard way before I stop gambling that is why I told my self not to gamble anymore. Every time that I am itching to gamble, I kept my self busy instead. I never visited gambling site and never participate in rolling dice on exchanges. Whenever I felt bored, I will try not to think about gambling because there will be a time that I'm unable to resist it. Good thing gambling itch never reoccurred for now.
It is always good to see those who were able to break away from the shackles of gambling as it is not an easy one and for the fact that you were able to discipline yourself is a pretty good one.

I really do not have any problem with gambling anyway and I do once in a blue moon when I just feel like and nothing special. What has always helped me is that I have always seen gambling that way as nothing special and it has indeed helped a lot. Good thing you are no longer feeling the itch.

The longest I could last without gambling was roughly a week.

This is not a good thing for you because it means you are addicted to gambling and the reason is obviously you are making it as a source of income from it rather than to enjoy and make it fun. How much have you won or loss till date and from how many years you are into gambling?

Staying without gambling is possible based on users self interest, people who have been into gambling won't feel comfortable leaving gambling. Because, it gives an enthusiasm and excitement that one cannot get through any of the other forms. Possibly one can stop it in a day if he found himself in the wrong track.

i think i can live without gambling it's been 6 months since my last gambling session and i dont get the urge to gamble again it's not a problem for me anymore and its pointless to gamble if you do it to entertain yourself as there are alot of ways to entertain yourself.

Yes, i do agree there are many other ways to entertain us but it will allow us to spent some time with the family. But people who are addictive to gambling will not spent their time with the family members and they are happy through gambling.
Like veteran people always do say, the decisions you make today will either make you or mar you and that is one thing I expect that most gamblers will always take into consideration before deciding to embark on their gambling journey. The only thing about it is that it affects those around them and most especially those who are married with kids and then tending towards addiction at the same time.

I do not see any reason why anyone should be able to stay without gambling for as long as they want to, and anything that has gotten to the point where they just could not, then that is a problem.

Now I can stay without gambling as long as I want. I have a job now which can help me to forget gambling and fortunately, most of my friends aren't gamblers.

When you had no job it should have been even easier to stay away from gambling. You had no income so you had no money to waste which made gambling extremely risky. You weren't playing for fun like most people do but for the next month's rent or fuel for the car. That's rough.
Unfortunately some times, most of the people who gamble their money the most are sometimes the low income earners or those who do not have much and are expecting luck to bail them out of their predicament only to set themselves up for an even more shitty one.

I am not an addicted gambler and I only do it for the fun with some little amount of money that I just feel like wasting which if I end up winning, I just count it as my luck, so with that, I only gamble maybe like once in 2 or 3 months.
I am not a regular gambler therefore for me time is not a problem. If I want I will never gambler in the future but I only gambler for fun and never think about making money through gambling because I know that regular gambler can never make money from gambling and the consequences are very bad. Many gamblers suicide due to debts in gambling.

Not a good thing at all. I can imagine what that would be like for most of the people in his shoes. No one is perfect, but I believe that when it is becoming a problem to stay out of gambling for a very long time, and being frequent in the shortest possible amount of time, then, there is a huge fire on the mountain which could spread like a wildfire.

It is important to always see gambling as an occasional activity with a lot of gap than seeing it as a frequent one to be able to stay good.

Yes it is very easy to say but difficult to apply, people think that they can stay away from gambling if they want but when they come to practical they can stay away from gambling only for few days, in fact it is also depending on you environment, your company and your economic status, so we have to consider all these factors when trying to stop playing gambling.

To me, gambling is just as appealing as going to the cinema, restaurant or playing volleyball. So although I enjoy it, I don't necessarily need to gamble. I can go the rest of my life without walking into a casino.
Bless you mate. Gambling should be an activity for fun once in a while and should always see any money being used to gamble as something you are meant to lose or pay for the fun rather than paying too much attention to trying to win anything.

Gambling for me is something I can just decide to do once in a very long time based on the fact that I could just want to have some fun in a different way, same as I would consider going to the cinema everyday boring. I have a lot of activities though, so staying away for a long time is never a problem.

I am not reckless at all and very happy about it, my some friends who were very rich and they lost all their fortune. gambling is evil
I am very happy to hear this that you stay away from gambling as much as possible unlike your friends who are wasting their time and money in gambling just because they are rich. I think being a rich person is one of the blessings of almighty God and one should feel blessed of it rather than to waste this blessing because I have seen people who don’t even have food to eat.

I am not an addicted gambler anymore, actually not even close even if i do gamble once in awhile. So, i can proudly say that i can live with or without gambling and i mean it. Gambling only excites me at first but later on i became careless with my strategy, i mean it happens all the time most especially when we are just playing inside our home and with family members like my bro, relatives and friends.
Only an addicted gambler will actually have a problem with staying away from gambling for a very long time and of course that is the reason we can attribute them to addicts. Gambling should never be something one cannot live without and once that is the case, such a person should start knowing there is a problem immediately.

I do not gamble often, although it was becoming a hobby at some point, but I had to reduce it which even got easier when I hit a very stressful and well-paying job, so the time anyway is usually not there anymore, but maybe once in a blue moon, paying a visit is not usually a bad thing.

now I've started to leave the gambling because some of the factors from start have lost a lot of money until the same ostracized by the surrounding community for playing gambling so I can stop long enough without gambling because I'm used to it.
Losing money is something that is guaranteed in gambling, so if you do not have that as your first mindset before even gambling, then you really got in with the wrong mindset and you should even be quitting immediately.

I know a lot of people have this mentality of wanting to make money from gambling and this is the reason why some have set up an office for themselves to gamble either online or offline, and that is crazy. I see that as joblessness or stupidity, it should be an occasional thing and not a do or die affair.
When I lost money in gambling, I leave gambling for some time because I think that if I continue gambling I will be addicted and then quitting will be more difficult for me. That’s why I only gambling when I have extra money and no fear to lose because losing that money will not affect my regular life. My family will never face financial hurdles due to my gambling.

Yeah, this topic indirectly should be more like how addictive are you ? The thing with how long one can stay without gambling is more like the measure of addiction. The more you can stay away from gambling for a very long time, the less addicted you are and vice versa. So far, I have seen so far that a lot of people here are really finding it hard to stay away for a very long time, and I hope they are simply using this medium to assess themselves.

Gambling can never be a source of income. It is rather the worst source of earning and best source of losing money. Like if someone is interested to lose money, he might be going for gambling to make this dream come true. Therefore it is often advised to not to gamble, if you do so, believe me there would be bad circumstance for you and your account would just be down.

Obviously, there is no way that at a point in time, every gambler will not know that their gambling activity is getting out of hand. However, most of the time, there is just usually that thing that speaks to you like, just one more time and you can relax and that is how it all starts and you see yourself fully in it and trying hard to stop.

It is good if you can control it right from the start than it taking over you and finding a way to let yourself out of that bondage in the long run as that is the hard thing about it.
The craziest part of it all is that some actually will know when it is getting out of hand but the problem is that they just would not want to admit it is actually getting out of hand and try to use several means to console themselves or deny the state of mind that they are in.

It is one crazy impulse to always come out of which I believe that anyone who is actually finding problem staying without gambling should start asking questions on where things are already beginning to go wrong.

If a casino owner reads this, he will start laughing at what you are saying. You have to figure it out and categorized on who are going to make it as source of income. If a normal gambler does then it's hard for him to make it for a living. But if a real life investor and businessman will make it as a source of income, how can you say that it can never be a source of income?

the longest I can stay without gambling is about a month and in that time, I never thought about playing the gambling games because I was busy with my work in my real life. I am glad that I don't have an addiction that only thinking about the gambling because I think my mind is attracted to the other else and I need to finish my work first then I can spend my time for another activity. I think every gambler can do this too if they want to get out from their addiction.
It would actually be hard for someone who is very busy in real life most especially when it is job related and takes bunch of your time to end up being so keen about gambling most of the time or not being able to stay away from it most of the time, because for someone who is totally addicted, and still on a job there is absolutely no way such a job will not be affected. I am not a hardcore gambler though, but I do once in a while and by once in a while, it could be once in a year.

Sure if we want make the gambling as our main source of income then we can make it but succeeding with this as our souce to live is hard.We have to keep other source as job and can allocate few mkney for gambling daily if someday we are lucky then we can make it to successful.

I could stay away from gambling forever since I lnow that it is no good for me, all I've experienced in gambling is that I lost every time, and that pisses me off. So i decided to give up that addiction, there is still so many ways to earn money other than gambling.
