I think changing email passwords regularly is one of the simplest things you can do to protect yourself from a digital hacker and make sure to turn off the internet when reading bitcoin data
You don't have to change email passwords if you are only using a hardware wallet or a desktop wallet. You can encrypt your password or simply write it on a paper and hide it somewhere that you can keep it safely. Sometimes those simple techniques are the best way to keep our bitcoins safe, it's easy and less hassle.

How to Secure Bitcoins?

If you follow the basics (such as enabling 2FA and staying away from systems infected by trojans), there is a 99.9999% probability that your coins will be safe for the long term. So before getting paranoid about someone stealing your coins, please ask yourself whether you have enabled these basic steps.

for convenience of transacting, the best way to go around with the problem is keeping a small amount of wallets in a usable computer, though not one you connect to the internet often, and securely configuring a good wallet.

How to Secure Bitcoins?
As long as you have your private key and no one knows about it your bitcoin is totally secure from scammer or thief.
Or you just buy a hardware wallet if you are planning to hold long term or about a year or decade.lol
Like nano ledger or trexor these wallet are you need to buy, it is very safe for cold storage.
There's some tip in storing your bitcoin don't put all your egg in one basket.

In addition to this, I would also like to add one thing. Recently, we has one member here sharing her experience where she shared her bitcoin details with her sister and later she was cheated by her sister. Her sister transferred all those bitcoins to her wallet. The girl experiencing this has to now work as a waitress and all her savings are gone. It is thus important that you choose the right person to share your financial details including bitcoin investments.

First, protect your email account using two-factor authentication to prevent attacks. Second, do the same with your bitcoin storage service. Coinbase already requires a two-factor logon to the system: it consists of a password and text received via SMS. Because SMS can be intercepted, you must use the application-based verification option, such as Google Authenticator. (This may seem complicated, although it is not.) This is cyberhygiene, which should be used for any password-protected online service.)

You disclose your private key yourself

Software
Keep your software up to date. A wallet running on non-updated bitcoin software can be a soft target for hackers. The latest version of wallet software will have a better security system in place thereby increasing the safety of your bitcoins. If your software is updated with the latest security fixes and protocol, you may evade a big crisis because of the enhanced security of the wallet. Consistently update your mobile device or computer operating systems and software to make your bitcoins safer.

There are some new ICOs regarding exchanges which are designed exactly to address such concerns. For example, the new LCCX project will provide the facility to place 60-75% of client funds offline in cold storage - on separate offline physical media, and claim to be fully regulated by the UK' Financial Conduct Authority (FCA): https://icorating.com/analytics/basic/lccx-basic-review/

Maybe to keep our bitcoin secure is that we should be responsible for keeping our keys and we should not visit unsecured sites and install unsecured apps in our software as this may be dangerous to our bitcoin. Hackers always find their ways to rob us, so better safe than sorry.

I think I can only give you one way to secure Bitcoin, that is to make some complicated password that can secure your wallet. Maybe you can even change your password every month so that you will not worry about anything. If you are talking about wallets, then this tips is the most simple yet secure plans. It is hard to believe that someone can hack your Bitcoin without knowing your wallet password. As long as you use your private computer and you always change your password, it will be fine. Actually, there are people who use hardware to save their Bitcoin. I do not use hardware wallet because I think web based wallet is more secure.

Wallets passwords are not important because it only protects that dat file if someone have the access of your private key then he can import the bitcoins into other wallets. So keep your private keys safe if you want your bitcoins to be safe.

As in real life, you have to protect your wallet.

Using bitcoin can easily transfer money around the world and give you complete control over your money. Such powerful functions are accompanied by great security concerns. At the same time, if used correctly, bitcoins can provide advanced security.

A small amount of bitcoin is used for everyday needs, while others are kept in a cold wallet.

To secure bitcoin then you should own a hardware wallet because that is what you need in order to have a real security for your cryptocurrencies. You can buy ledger nano s because that is the best hardware wallet that i know so far and it has a lot of cryptocurrencies that it is supported so you don't need to own many hardware wallet to just keep your cryptos.
