This is just a joke. If it was banned by facebook then the usage of facebook will be reduced. Even i thought few days back that facebook will be asking payment for the promotion.

They have to protect themselves from too many scams, and if they are not able to make the difference between serious projects and scams, they'll take a shortcut by deleting everything. It's just as everything else : the easier way...

Do you agree that facebook banned all that promote ico's and bitcoin?
Yes, today all chats Telegram talked about it. I wonder how Facebook will determine the news about ico. By headers? I think you need to wait and see what will happen after. It seems to me these news could ruin the reputation of Facebook and it is bad for its value on the stock market.

Yes, this is the right news that facebook has banned advertiing of crypto coins because of huge numbers of scams, but this doesn't mean that you can not do posts and reposts.

This is not a matter of agreeing to disagree.
We can't do anything, we can only accept the fact that the whole cryptocurrency market has been falling recently, because of all the bad news. Sad

I didn't see this coming because Facebook never usually turns down a quick bit of cash on a fad. Honestly it won't impact too much because you can just create good content to be shared by bounty campaigns or shared in groups.

Just really shooting themselves in the foot and losing some revenue. Personally I just think it is a marketing campaign to seem more moral after the whole Russia election scandal.
actually your right mate.they are the one who will have losses here not the crypt..our platform is enough to reached all the users of crypto currencies, while facebook is just a medium to extend our hands to other people that has no nothing about this, because those who had a small knowledge that is now interested to join us.they cam easily go directly here without the help of facebook.so its not our loss anyways

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The upcoming ICO project known as AgroTechFarm will be on the market pretty soon! I'd strongly advise you to check it out as its potential seems limitless. ATF enables automated Cannabis cultivation at home. ATF is a security token that strives to conquer three of the fastest growing markets - cannabis, organic food and blockchain. By joining the crowdsale investors will get 30% of the companies profits.

I don't think that facebook ban can effect the market so much, but the general tendency regarding cypto bans is threatening. I still believe that this is someone's plan to collapse the market in order to buy crypto for cheeper prices.

What do you expect to a U.S based social media platform?surely the SEC has something to do with this ban, they just want to protect their citizens from being scammed by these scammy ICOs,because most of these ICOs are just raising so much funds and will eventually abandon all of their investors.

And for what it's worth, I think it's gonnna be good in the long run, both for FB and ICOs in general. There are far too many scammy ICOs as is and the FB ads are pretty cancer as well.

Also it'll be interesting if the Zuck will eventually release his own crypto coins.

I have read several reports about this, it is not yet known when these restrictions will take effect. It is possible that these measures will reduce the amount of scum in the ICO, the number of which increases every day! Undecided  but this is just my opinion....

It seems not just ICO though. https://techcrunch.com/2018/01/30/facebook-is-banning-cryptocurrency-and-ico-ads/

While we understand the proliferation of scams targeted a lot of people, I don't think the ban should have extended to bitcoin and established alts. There are already rumors that Zuckerberg is planning to launch his own crypto. If it is true, then this is also a way of clearing the competition out of the field.

I agree. I think this may be a temporary move from Facebook. That's because I do believe, like the above-stated reply, that one of Facebook's main means of getting money is through marketing by exploiting the traffic of people that comes by their platform on a daily basis. I think what they trying to get rid of are the unwanted flooding of posts about ads related to ICOs that actually doesn't have to content to it posted by those joiners that just post just to complete their weekly quotas without thinking if their contents are of any use or not. I think once all that is filtered Facebook would allow ads again.

I am not sure about this news that facebook have ban advertisement related to crypto and i think it is not positive step neither for facebook nor for crypto because large population from the whole world are using facebook and it is the great way of advertising crypto or any other product and also if facebook ban such product advertisement then surely some user of facebook will also reduce using of Facebook.

I am shocked that Facebook has done this, not like Facebook to grow a moral backbone when it's for easy cash for Facebook. Clearly this is just a PR tactic as they want to be seen as looking after their users, especially after ex Facebook employees saying it is bad for people and the Russian / fake news scandal.

the ICO still announced for almost every days until now so nothing to worried about that because that would not have big impact for upcoming ICO or development of cryptocurrencies and i think people still able to promote their ICO project through another way such as twitter or even in this forum
