Hello Folk, is it the time for ethreum to lead from the front ? As bitcoin is going through rough ride along with other altcoins but ethreum is turning out to be more stable platform for investment and also new ICO's are based on ethreum. Do you think Ethreum will dethrone bitcoin from 1st rank of crypto this year?

eth cant beat the bitcoin.in my own opinion. bitcoin is the beginning of the crypto without btc no ethereum. bitcoin can be risen in anytime right now so buy and hold bitcoin

Well bitcoins demand is huge and etheruem has just started getting attention in the market and it's demand is increasing but still it's nowhere near bitcoins. It's hard to replace bitcoins yet I think that it would take long time to beat bitcoins and etheruem does has the potential and it is the best coin after bitcoins.
Truly bitcoin can't be ever replaced with other coin.  Yes,  wherein have it's potentials to grow but it won't be the same the way that bitcoin grow. Ethereum still dependent on bitcoin in some aspects that's  why
, when  bitcoin drops-ethereum will follow then.

Ethereum have the best potential among altcoins, but it is still ranked second after Bitcoin. BTC still the first used and traded crypto currency right now, and it will keep this position for many years in my opinion. But Ethereum value is also increasing fastly and its demand is high too.

I believe that ethereum has enough elements to be presented this year as the new king, however even if this does not happen, everyone recognizes the strength of ethereum for quite some time, and that is why it has been consistently maintained as the second most popular cryptocurrency in the market. Maybe it's only a matter of time before Vitalik receives the crown that credits him as the new monarch.

absolutely NOT.

ETH in the graphs almost matches BTC ups and down. In fact, many people were trading ETH for BTC in December.

But the main reason is that in no more than 6 months, ETH will go to PoS with Casper. Millions and millions of dollars in GPU's will be worth almost nothing, the market will collapse with GPU, prices will go down AF, and ETH will not be able to be mined.

ETH IS NOT THE WAY TO GO RIGHT NOW, and noone, (other than retardeds) would put money onto this. ETH mining is almost dead, and Vitalik knows this. He will try harder to implement Casper as soon as possible before the market crashes ETH value.

ETH is dead.
An interesting point of view. But why the transition to POS will cause a collapse? Many people believe that this will give the opposite effect to ETH and make it a TOP1 coin.

Have you seen the growth of network hashrate for ETH in the last month? by 13 of December, it was about 130.000 GH/s. Now, even with the cryptomarket full with blood, there are still 204.000GH/s working. Why would you still mine ETH at current prices?? well, that's why because almost all other coins are BTC-related. Sia, Decred, Monero, electroneum and others etc...almost all coins that were worth something, was because of the trading with BTC.

Once trading has been compromised, those farming with GPU's (the vast majority) have no place to put it but to ETH. And moreover, ETH is just following the same exact graphs of BTC. If this coin would be the possible nº1 coin, why would this coin follow BTC behavour over and over again?Huh

Now, in the transition from PoW to PoS, people will actually get rid of the coins by sending them to the chain. According to what it has been said, you will receive "money" according to the use of that chain and your inputs. The more coins, more money. But, and this is the issue, the chain will be worth something if there is actually people that are using that coin for something.

Due to regulations, banks and goverments that are putting the greatest efforts to make it difficult for this technology to be effective (because they can't stand not having the control over the money, each one for it's own profit), the people with money to use the chain, are actually not using it. The market has halved it's value in just 1 month. almost 400.000.000.000 dollars have left the cryptocurrency market.

PoS will give you only a comission according to the "use" of the chain. But noone will tell you how much the chain will be used. Nowadays you have a value for ETH. currently...592€. Tomorrow you will still have a value. But when the market switches to PoS........who is gonna tell you what's worth the coins you actually sent to the chain?? and that's considering you could enter PoS. Because at the begining only large holder will be able to enter (those will be the lab rabbits).

I´ll make a guess. Days before PoS is implemented, ETH price will crash to almost nothing.

BTC no more than 6k by end of 2019. ETH no more than 300$ by end 2019. Huge market manipulation, huge amount of scammers and hypers.

I think Ethreum will dethrone Bitcoin from 1st rank of crypto but not this year. Bitcoin will still hold strong positions on the cryptocurrency market so replacing it now will be very difficult.

no, I think it will not happen, for now ethereum has a pretty good potential and excellent growth and growth, with many advantages possessed by ethereum I believe it will continue to grow and increase, but on the other hand the trust of bitcoin still so high that it is not possible to be able to shift the bitcoin from its position as number one, it is currently bitcoin is in a less satisfactory condition, namu I think bitcoin can still recover from this state,

I doubted with that speculation, because until now bitcoin was still the king of digital currency, even on this day demand of ethereum was so high. I believe that they can't surpass the bitcoin foundation and reputation. Other than that I see that bitcoin are resting now so there's a tendency that this coin are waiting the right time before increase again their price.

Still every coin is tied to Bitcoin and its price falls once Bitcoin's price falls so I don't think Ethereum is ready to overtake it (if it ever does).

I think Ethereum is considered among the most successful crypto currencies nowadays, and many experts consider it as second crypto after Bitcoin. Its having good potential and very high demand because its high value, and because its needed to invest in the ICO projects.

We cannot know for sure what will happen, but in my opinion Ether has the biggest potential at the moment. Look at all the countless possibilities of using smart contracts and don't forget that Ethereum is still the main platform for new Tokens and probably this aspect is going to be much bigger in the future. Think about it. Can bitcoin offer the same possibilities?

Yes, it is taking the position of a king in the world of cryptocurrencies as it is easy to mine, is inexpensive right now and is easily tradable. Many merchants have already started accepting Ethereum as a payment method, which shows that people are trusting its Blockchain and privacy.

But I guess it will take a little time to achieve this title properly as there is a huge gap in market cap between Bitcoin and Ethereum. This is why currently Ethereum is on the 2nd position and Bitcoin is still the king.

although Eth looks to have great potential but will not be able to beat bitcoin. Eth currently stays under bitcoin, it takes a long time to replace the bitcoin digital currency even almost impossible eth able to shift the position of bitcoin as the most popular type of crypto no 1

Morelikely yes, bitcoin is failing to the point that most of the investors are taking their money back, this was the price last year and it might be last support level that we can resist the bearish trend.

Ether is undoubtedly better than bitcoin, but not an ideal crypto currency.
But in the coming years of course yes

We should know that ETH can be the new crypto king because ETH is altcoin no 1, and now many projects work with ETH, so investors who want to invest in will definitely buy ETH first.

Probably ethereum will lead crypto currency this year.but i think bitcoin will still lead this year because its true that bitcoin is falling this month but i think bitcoin doing a correction same with other altcoin.Bitcoin always king, maybe eth will be 1st place for coinmarketcap, by the end, btc will always win.

I don't think that Ethereum is king. We can see that  Bitcoin still  has most huge capitalization on cryptomarket and Ethereum far from this level. Also I think that we will see some modification of Ethereum soon, which will be more functional.
