Hello guys...
I have diversified my portfolio to about 25 different cryptos which were worth about 7000-8000$ just before the bitcoin crash came and I am wondering whats the exact reason behind this, when or will it recover (and so the alt coins I hold, don't have any bitcoin).
Why do almost all alt coins crash because of the bitcoin crash or correction?
My portfolio is worth only 4000$ atm.

Many bad news about bitcoin spread. I suggest you to convert all your cryptocurrency into bitcoin because this is the safest coin. I don't know how long the negative market condition continuing but it will recover. There are many countries that start to embrace bitcoin and blockchain technology so don't worry. |

As the price of bitcoin goes down, many are expecting that the price of altcoins would go down as well because most of the altcoins are traded with bitcoin as base coin so to protect themselves from further losses, they would decide to sell their coins and maybe trade it with fiat to buy back lower and for those who couldn't take it would just totally leave the crypto scene. We had seen that at the start of the year, the price is continuously declining and many are anticipating it because of the sudden rise in the previous months so for those who have been in crypto for a long time, they have already cash out and for those who just entered recently experience their first heart break with crypto so panic sell happened and fear was sustained because bad news come altogether that's why people have bloody portfolios. Just think of it as a sale and buy more so that you can average down or if you don't have funds anymore then you can hold and wait for it to go up since it is slowly recovering. |

I am also a beginner. Like any other business, you will not always get a profit in bitcoin, preferably before deciding to invest you learn the market first, and do not put your money too much if you are not sure. if you do not want to lose, you can hold it, but to answer how long you can keep it, even bitcoin creators will find it difficult to answer. my advice you should be extra patient and busied yourself with other things until the value of bitcoin and altcoin back up

I believe bitcoin will increase that's why I keep purchase bitcoin every month and keep hold it rather than short term trading.
It's quite risky if you trade bitcoin in short term because the value still too volatile.
Overall if you do not ready to lose, better stay away from bitcoin trading !
Is it possible to get lose Sir? Why? Because I think tgat the price is always rising. |

You first must know cryprocurrensies are very unstable and if your portfolio is downing you will hodl your potential altcoins. I think first of all you must growth your portfolio until you earn more profit. If you want you can buy my favorite coins (VEN, PLR, MNX).

Because I think tgat the price is always rising. always if you sell when the price is dropping, so if you don't want to lose some of your profits you must HODL! and wait to sell when the price is roceketed to prevent loses. Jus monitor the market graph because the price is so volatile, learn some technical analysis. |

Good thing you have a diverse portfolio which exactly what an investor should have. Bitcoin correction causes its market price to drop down deep causing cryptomarkets to crash in red color. As bitcoin continuously decreases its market price, it also drags the altcoins' market price since these altcoins have a pairing with bitcoin. That means when the value of bitcoin goes down, so the value altcoin also drops.

Not only you are facing such types of problems but many people are facing the same thing , here I am also the case of such trading where I am much down that what should I started , I have lost about 80% of the worth that was in mine investment of the bitcoin and altcoins investment . Here currently the market is dumping due to some negative news and rumours ( people feeling panic and selling Thier altcoins as well bitcoin) So don't get panic wait for 20-30 days to recover the market at the base price and then enjoy your trading , either if you will take tension then still nothing will happen at any moment , so wait and keep patience currently . |

the first thing that you should know is no one will know when or will it recover and what we can do is only keep trying to make a profit. the altcoin crash is happening because people selling their altcoin to have bitcoin and they don't think too much about their loss. all they want to do is have bitcoin and then they can sell the bitcoin no matter the bitcoin price is fall or not. but for some people, they know that if bitcoin price is fall, some of the altcoins will fall too and the rest will try to survive and even the price will increase. so related with your case, I think you can keep it and hold your coins and if any of your coins get an increase, I think you can sell it and only sell if you see that you can make a profit. don't be afraid because the altcoin will keep increase after bitcoin fallen. |

I'm a beginner so i can't teach to another beginner if only i am not a beginner i would like to share some knowledge on how to earn profit through any crypto coin as long as i have knowledge of it.
It is good to be helpful to others, so should everyone do, rather than insult others because of little knowledge, we should help to learn more and give them the opportunity to learn. it's easy to earn when you are very serious about what you are doing, and great opportunity for biginners is the collapse of the bitcoin price because you can buy at low prices and wait to re-raise the bitcoin's value price to get big profit and take note just be patience. |

you are investing in some kind of alt it is very good because you have a lot of money but I think the stock market is the same and the market stability depends on the investors, and why you leave bitcoin in my opinion this is the best coin and harganyapun according to the stock exchange board currently get Top rankings, it's very sad if you've left bitcoin because according to the news after the Lunar New Year bitcoin will return stable and rise sharply. It is true and I am also a bitcoin investor but it will not be good not to have any money and getting in different crypto currency, if you are having money and you want to grow it you will have to have good knowledge about bitcoin so you then invest at the time of high price and wait long, own it is time to stock bitcoin because in future it will be hard to buy bitcoin and the stroke market of bitcoin will be high as well so it is opportunity you should use it. |

This is the exact thing or reasons why do investing to cryptocurrency specially in bitcoin are to risky, because of its high volatility that no one knows when its price goes dump and rise. But the only thing that i can advice for those newbies is, don't loss your hope to bitcoin, just hold it and wait for the moment that you've waiting for. |

Do not panic like others. Just be patient, it will take at least six months to reach good levels again and you can book profit at that time.
The only reason why people suffer loss even after investing in world’s best investment bitcoin is their fear. Due to this, they sell out bitcoin and regret later. What I despise the most is blaming bitcoin for this. Bitcoin is not responsible for anyone’s loss. That is why I suggest newbie to understand bitcoin and its way of working first and then come to any decision. Patience and rust are play very significant role in the success of an investor. |

\ Not all alts are down, if you are referring to dollar price well you might be loosing because alt coins are depending on bitcoin price and not really into dollar. look if a coin is equal to 1000 satoshi and a thousand before is worth a dollar if bitcoin fell 50 percent then a thousand satoshis will be 50 cents now. even your coin didn't fall it will reduce to half the value because of the fall of bitcoin. |

no need to complain mate, if you're interested you must do your owm research and perhaps nowadays there are some tutorial about it just focus on it and put some effort if you want to gain more knowledge , use the search bar on this forum if you want to gain more information how to start by doing different ways here in forum. |
