I have diversified my portfolio to about 25 different cryptos which were worth about 7000-8000$ just before the bitcoin crash came and I am wondering whats the exact reason behind this, when or will it recover (and so the alt coins I hold, don't have any bitcoin).

Why do almost all alt coins crash because of the bitcoin crash or correction?

My portfolio is worth only 4000$ atm.

i think i'm a beginner but like what i know about bitcoin, it's all about privacy controls by its founders, talking about prices too, it's usual that sometimes reaches to higher levels and also dramatically goes down,

for beginners you should learn first and learn how a coin can be suitable for the purchase because otherwise you will likely be stuck in the coin that has no progress. to be more secure do not use the assets you have to invest in some coin not in one coin only.

If I were him, I would follow just one of the suggestions you gave which is to hodl. I won't follow trading advise. Op is a beginner according to him so is better he doesn't rush himself so he does not enter double loses that he can't manage.

I will hereby suggest that, if he can research and identify some of his coins with low potential, he sold dump them at this time because some of these low profile coins will die a natural death from this present crash.

Yes, make sure that you will prioritize knowledge compare to other type of things. Knowledge is the most important because it will become your foundation in everything, if you have a lot of knowledge then you can easily make jobs well done without worrying for it. So instead of spending money and investing right away, put at least some of your time in learning.

Very simple if bitcoin crash all coins will crashing too , because all markets reacting same like all big guys play in game one time on all pair of crypto if big money come all pair reacting if money goes then all pair reacting too its like 1 big coin

Well mate you can't do anything about it. Even me I am now starting to straggling about the other coin that I hold but still can't do anything about it because if I sell it I have already admitted that I lose so I wait.

Well you can't do anything about that. This month is not good for us as bitcoin earners. Bitcoin is at its lowest price. Just hold your coins and sell them if the price is right!!

That is why they called it the most volatile and risky market to invest your money in.See you loose $3000 directly within a few days as the price crashes but all that i can suggest is you to hodl for the long term and when the prices are recovered you will again come into situation of profits and might double up your investment.At this moment selling will cause you into losses but hodling will give profits.So just stay calm at this moment.

We have no way to know when the market is going to recover and in fact no one really knows that so stay away from anyone that says that he has that information, now the reason why altcoins go down when bitcoin goes down is very simple all altcoins are valued on bitcoin so when bitcoin goes down altcoins go down because the overall trust in the market goes down as well this is also why when the price of bitcoin skyrockets the price of altcoins go up as well.

well, your situations is kinda same for me too. i am right now still holding until my basic portfolio reached again. well, you could play some tricks to gain back what your loses but kinda hard to do it. you could use some chance in bump of the prices. sell it for now, buy at low prices, when bump you going to sell that. kinda hard to re owned what you used to have with this trick. the safest play to do is to hodl for right now.

That is why crypto investment is called high risk is because of this kind of situation, thinking that the whole marketcap has grown significantly and this time we have witnessed a lot of bad news that some media have exaggerated, do not listen to them, do your own analysis because whales do everything to buy cheap coins before they start pumping this again.
