To store information in one place, to use a system which depends on other people... even schoolboy knows that it is unsafe. And when it comes to storing important data, not just photos with lovely relatives, even more so. That is why Casper team has developed its own product that will ensure data security on the basis of blockchain, that is, first of all, it will be given the independence from the will of one person or organization. The network of data storage provided by Casper can undermine the position of monopolies in entire industries. Automatic execution of user requests, regulation by members of the network and independence - all these are beneficial for users of cloud services.

Casper can also be a new stage of development for DApps (decentralized applications). Decentralized storage gives DApp the ability to create a convenient interface for its services, the content of which will be stored in Casper.
The creation and operation of music stores, photos or videos, news, mail services will be easier with the use of Casper. Complex services on its own blockchain such as network game, a cloud-based platform of democracy, the social network will be able to use Casper to store UI files and unstructured data.

And in the foreseeable future governments of different countries can begin to transfer their services to the blockchain in order to reduce costs, ensure full transparency and absence of corruption.
The principles of Casper will help to influence the development and widespread growth of the number of such decentralized applications in all areas of business, politics and everyday life.

Well said, the author of Casper API want us to teach more which is good specially to those newbie in crypto currency and many more. Worth it post for me, this reminds me a basic but very important part of this community. Appreciated much!

Hope that all participant here have time to read and understand this point of view.

I agree on this. Casper does not intend to monopolize storage but give us users the power to protect our data and at the same time allow access according to our preferences.

Do not trust the information of a single source and rely only on the authority of the company that stores it. Decentralized and secure storages around the world are the new standard where the only data owner is you and no one else, no matter where it is stored at a particular time.

Exactly, low kind of people do everything to steal what you have (specially when money is the main character of the story). Good reminder Casper team, you are clearly want to help us by pointing the main problem of being bitcoiner/investor. Merited post!

From the admin:

Olga Liutetskaia:
Dear friends, we have many parallel processes (development, legal part, road-show planning, marketing, website etc.)

Today we want to share a new block on our website - the section "PRESS"
We will be grateful for the feedback. Is it convenient? Isn't here too much information??

By the middle of March you will already see a completely new version of the site that will acquire full functionality before going to ICO: a personal account, a calculator for calculating the profit of providers, enlarged block of advisers and teams, an updated roadmap, a clear comparison with projects that are competitors, video about what Casper API 👻

Thank you for joining our community!

Does anyone here know if Casper have any competitors in the market already?

We are confident that our project is competitive.
And we do not look at other projects, but we improve Casper

Thanks. We believe too that casper is competitive enough to carry on such big project.
Keep on improving! But isn't it helpful if you know your competitors also? So you could see
what aspect you need to improve.

We know different companies that are engaged in storing information. And we took into account their mistakes.
We do not consider it necessary to mention them here)

Maybe someone will say that I'm rushing things, but I believe in the project!

Do you plan to redesign the project? I like your minimalism in design, but I think that you can make the design a little more complicated and interesting Roll Eyes

Do you know that in the early years of Bitcoin more than 9 out of 10 financial experts in the world recognized it as an absolutely hopeless means of payment? However, for almost 10 years this cryptocurrency continues not only to improve constantly, but also to beat new records for its value. But if to think about it, what interesting things do we know about Bitcoin?

Bitcoin appeared in 2008 and its creator is Satoshi Nakamoto. Interestingly that it is still unknown who is this person, or a group of mysterious experts. The most likely version is that the creator of this cryptocurrency is an American of Japanese origin whose name is Dorian Nakamoto, but actually this option has not received reliable evidence.

As you know, the maximum number of Bitcoins is limited to 21 million coins. For today more than half of this number has been produced - the algorithm for the extraction is becoming more and more complex and reduces the total number of created coins every few years. It is believed that the last Bitcoin will be mined only in 2140.

The first million of BTC was mined by Satoshi Nakamoto and many experts think that it still belongs to him. Many curious users are trying to find the purses of Nakamoto to get on the trail of its creator, but no-one has managed to do this.

Only 36% of all Bitcoin coins was marked in any transactions and payment transactions. All the remaining coins, about 64% of their total number have never been used. Users are likely holding them with the expectation of an even greater increase in BTC cost.

Of course, these are not all the interesting facts about cryptocurrency and bitcoin! Throughout the history of the existence of this cryptocurrency there was still a huge number of significant and interesting events! And maybe you can add to these facts something interesting? Waiting for your stories in the comments!

It's not easy to update or change the original plans specially in white paper they provided.
It need a lot of time, discussion, official meeting and many more if you want to adjust some point and concern.
Hope the crypto community understand it, because it's not only a system program matter but add also the strategy, ads, choosing partner, websites, target area and etc. Also, money and time is involve in every changes made. Please don't be offended folks.

Thanks to that 1 person out of 10 that believe of the possibility of online currency. Starting line is the most difficult process to have faith to the unknown thing like bitcoin before. Satoshi is just like Steven Allan Spielberg who always did a amazing movie using a crap idea from his genius mind. That's why he create a award winning  science-fiction movies, those are my favorite movies. As Satoshi and Spielberg are icon in their own field, respect. Just saying...

This is impormative about father of all coins, and I thinks it's not too late to mining the remaining bitcoins. As I can see 64% is still remaining. So in near future bitcoin will go higher and higher because of this lost remaining bitcoins. Impressive

I think that those 9 out 10 are afraid they might not be important one day. The same thing happened when they we're trying to digitized paper money. Many were skeptic and worried as well. This is because they are afraid of change and change is the only thing constant. Bitcoin is only the beginning of change in our current financial systems.

The Internet, or the World Wide Web has taken over the world and changed it forever, along with humanity inhabiting it. We no longer live and work the way we used to.

Internet rendered a lot of items obsolete, namely phone books and paper maps. Who needs these volumes of encyclopedias of we have Wikipedia?

This free online knowledge base that derives its name from the Hawaiian word for “quick”, has made it to top six most visited websites on the planet in just a few years.
Anyone with an internet access can add and edit articles on any topic…

By the way, the fact it’s easily edited is what prevents a lot of hacks in the first place. Who would need to hack it if you can edit any article anyway? Vandalize biographies of the people you hate, there’s nothing to stop you. However, hacks would still take place, and even though the website is hosted on a powerful server, it’s still centralised. Centralised servers turn out to be the first point of failure for any online project. If the server has an owner, it can be seized, stolen, or simply shut down by the owner if his life is at risk. It’s manageable if all the server contained is a bunch of open source educational articles, but what if there was sensitive data?

Decentralised data storage can solve this issue. When multiple data nodes store information on their hard drives, and the information is fragmented and distributed between them, it’s safe to say the data is as secure as it can ever be. The only person who holds the key to stored information is its owner.
This is why decentralised systems are now the new online security standard.

The DApps market is constantly growing, and Casper API couldn’t come any later. Our goal is to help decentralised application developers decentralise their data storage, and we’re great at it!

can you please detail the security of files that we can handle in the casper. examples of apps apps. for example the security of the cell phone has it pincode. Do you have a lot of luck like that? thans for the answer.

Casper is the fastest way to ensure your DApp stores data, i.e., video, photo, audio, text

so is it all that can protect the casper? especially the important files that are in our apps or photos and videos that are in our cell phones. thanks for the answer.  Smiley

No. Casper is a data storage network, which may prove interesting for users of typical cloud services. One Casper’s distinguishing trait is absence of a common fault point, such as a DNS service. However, Casper is built to comply with blockchain principles, i.e., automated
implementation of user requests, regulation by network participants, absence of a common point of decision-making, independence from individuals and organizations. This enables sustainable use of Casper DApps without degradation of their characteristics.

Automated implementation of user requests meaning that if there is fault it can only be coming from the user itself since Casper is independent from its user and user's command. Mistakes made by an individual user is irreversible.

Yes,There are projects in the market which have some functions or services offered as Casper. However, Casper is not looking into its competitors but Casper is just focusing on it's own. The team as well as the supporters know that Casper is the best among it's competitors.

Thinking that this Casper API is sounds and looks like the famous Casper the friendly ghost film way back 1995 if I'm not mistaken. Also, it's logo too cause its exactly like a ghost(fyi one of my favorite character back in 90's ). So this is cloud based data storage, most of the big company need this kind of project. Let me read first all the information inside, then let's decide if this is a worth it project. Author, please let me back read. Thanks in advance.
