Bitcoin 2 Core v.2.2 wallets have been released and are available at https://www.bitc2.org/#wallets. Details at https://github.com/BITC2/bitcoin2/. Updating your Bitcoin 2 Core wallet to this version is mandatory. That includes upgrading all your Masternodes. After enough nodes have upgraded to this version, a new staking protocol will be activated and the old nodes that fail to upgrade their wallet before that will end up forking to the wrong chain. Estimated time of this protocol upgrade is between August 21 - August 24 2019. As soon as possible.

Are you able to give better instructions regarding how to upgrade the wallet for Ubuntu? "How to update the Bitcoin 2 Core Wallet? Just download the newest .zip/tar.gz file and copy the executable files in the bin folder to replace the ones you had installed already." When I try to start the new bitcoin2-qt I get the message: Could not display "bitcoin2-qt" There is no application installed for "shared library" files. Do you want to search for an application to open this file?

I have a windows 32-bit wallet , how should I update ?
If you have Windows 64-bit, you can update to the Windows 64-bit version. If not, hold on, we will compile and release the 32-bit Windows version soon.

Did you download this one: https://github.com/BITC2/bitcoin2/releases/download/2.2/bitcoin2-2.2.0-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz ? If so, will look into the problem. Which Ubuntu version is that? 64-bit? Trusty, Bionic, etc.?

The files in "bitcoin2-2.2.0-x86_64-linux-gnu" are just listed as shared librarys.

Turns out that a few configuration flags were not set for that version so I compiled a more widely compatible Linux 64-bit version and updated https://github.com/BITC2/bitcoin2/releases/download/2.2/bitcoin2-2.2.0-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz. So you can now download it and try again. Meanwhile, we'll test this more than just the quick test I did so far.

When I check properties for the 2.1.5 files the file types are "executable (application/x-executable)" When I check properties for the 2.2.0 files the file types are "shared library (application/x-sharedlib)"

It works though if you execute it from the command line with ./bitcoin2-qt

If it's not a managed masternode, login to it and update the executables on the server like you would for a local node. if it is a managed one, then they probably already did it for you.

Did that, but the number of blocks in wallets are not matched. And the last block in my wallet is not matched with the block at block explorer

You can try to restart the wallets. We upgraded to the new more secure staking protocol yesterday. But the network got issues afterwards that we're working on. Some of the issues have been fixed already. Your BTC2 are safe, but best to refrain from doing any transactions with others during this transition because you or the person you are transacting with might not be synced correctly which could lead to confusions. (Except you can transact at Crex24).

But now local wallet with masternode not displays 1000 BTC2 locked. Should I send 1000 coins again for masternode? Or what And staking is not active now

We are rolling out fixed wallets (v.2.2.1). The source code is already available at our Github and we are now compiling and testing the new wallets.
