Yes but not in the crypto world. It happened years ago where I've worked expecting a $50 pay out but received only $5 in the end. I have other HYIP investments too so after those investments I've learned  Grin I always apply the rule of investing only what I can afford to lose, so it doesn't hurt much if incase investment goes bad.

There are a lot of scammers out there and there are more people getting scammed because they believe it. I am not sure if they are just clueless or just an idiot to not check before sending money or something. The latest scam I've encountered was an ICO of Bee Token. Too many investors are fooled by fake email, unfortunately if you get scammed here in crypto world expect that you won't have your money back.

Not yet I'm taking my security extremely seriously, and am currently using my Ledger Nano S to access all crypto - I hope everyone else is doing the same. Other hardware wallets are also decent - i just like the Nano S for its style and simplicity! Using Private keys is fairly annoying I have to say and easily hackable.

In Telegram is often written by scammers and asked to follow the link. Never click on these links, if you click, all your data can be stolen

I haven't scammed yet but, seemingly, I will. I have suspicion about one bounty campaign… Undecided

Scammers always humiliating others, I've been there. it was like the end of the world when I invested all my money and found out that all my savings was gone. So I got traumatic experienced that no one knows how am lonely am I that time. Lesson learned? Don't put all eggs in one basket because your going to ruin your life. Your friends wont't help you about financial needs but they will help tou to recover your physical and mental abilities.

One of the best scams I have seen was a BTC website offering an anonymous virtual credit card in exchange for BTC. It was about five years ago. They looked very legit, was the top site in google, believable credentials, fake reviews, phone numbers, etc. My friend unfortunately believed them. I think those guys got rich, especially off of the hackers and the dark part of the bitcoin community.

I was fooled by a team that claims to be a legitimate ICO. At first, they paid their members, but after about a month they had enough money in the club and they suddenly disappeared. So I am now extra cautious about adding new investments.

I was close to it when i start with crypto, when I submitted/followed to the scam twitter account for one of the alts which actually at that time had more followers than the real one and as expected they published that they have giveaway if you give them the statement of MEW and you be rewarded with certain amount of alts etc, I didn't went further from here... but all the red flags were there and I was warned soon enough...

yes, almost been scammed when I was a complete newbie...after sending much money to a "mining service" I realized
that probably it was a scam but decided to leave the money there and take the risk. Luckily enough I exited with a big
gain from that experience but it only was a matter of being very lucky (cause btc went on bull run during those months)

I almost got scammed on twitter by a fake account. Scammers are setting up fake accounts pretending to be other people/ICO's/Tokens. It's very tricky if you are not paying attention. Make sure you check spelling on all names to be correct. Be careful who you give your info to. Even if it's just your email address. Scammers will not stop scamming so watch out and pay close attention to what you are signing up for. Good Luck everyone and be safe!
I have been scammed by a bounty campaign, they didnt release the stakes that i have from the bounty campaign,2months have passed there still no update from this campaign, clearly they scammed the bounty hunters they have successful ICO but it seems they dont have plans to release the tokens, what a shame to our community.

Yes, there are a lot of scammers now. The main type of fraud on the passing ICO. They write in a telegram, write in slack (the most common form of fraud), they forge pages of websites, release fake airdrops, etc. Now you need to be very careful. I always read and learn information on external resources or from officials, only then I make a decision

The best advice for not being scammed is to be very attentive and double or even triple check all forms that require filling out.

yes precisely it isn't necessary to follow the links, already many people on it have got, they do counterfeit now to descend which are very similar on original therefore it is necessary to keep in bookmarks official to descend, and that is possible will lose everything

scammers are everywhere inside crypto and outside and if I have to be honest I have been scammed more by people in real life or by providers of services or clients than in the cryptoworld, but cryptoworld is very new so that you can't compare
bythe way yes I have been scammed.
I sent 0.1 eth to a fake Therion airdrop and didn't have anything in return
It have been the first and only one time I get scammed
The configuration of the scam was very accurate and very difficult to verify but I think that if I would have waiited and researched more I would have found out the scam
shit!
but no problem learned the lesson:)

I participated in Davorcoin. I knew that this fraud, however the project quickly expected to leave. But swindlers have appeared quicker me. Whether I am disappointed with loss of money? No. I knew that it is risk.
This my decision. It is my experience.

I don't pay attention on Email spams. The moment i receive an email that I don't expect, I mark it as spam so i will never receive it again in my important messages. If you are going to join in ICO, always use the official website to make sure it is a legit ICO and not just in a Facebook, Telegram, Slack or Tweeter  transaction. Make sure to do your own research before investing.

different scam which i have been victimized.i joined this signature campaign and the manager sounds very confident and competent above many campaigns but the problem is we trust him that he will pay us without escrow,so after the first month of campaign always promises of paymet is what we got, since there still a second month to continue.so i didnt push and i leave the campaign and what happens after second month?that manager just gone to nowhere and we all end up crying.this one story of my scam experience.

Tough answer mate thats the what we need to put in mind, our prerogative joining such without anyones forcing us to do,so what happens in the end is nothing for us to blame.
