Bitcoin will always be the king of digital currency because it is the pioneer. When we talked about cryptocurrency, bitcoin will always comes to ones mind. I don't think Ripple will replace bitcoin on the top spot because Ripple is a centralized and it is not even a cryptrocurrency technically.
