I've been searching for ICOs for a few days and there seems to be many cases of scams and hacks which kinda scares me. Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? The first one I looked at was Mossland's Whitepaper and they seemed good with solid community. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Any suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!

each project has ICO in different time and the ICO itself consists of more stages, like closed first round, pre-sale, then proper ICO etc. So you need to judge right time to enter each ICO, not ICOs in general

Well for me its depend on the kind of ico project you will invest because now a day so many ico project that turn to scam you need to be careful on your move before puting your money in any kind of ico.
But if you invest in ico project that boom in the market Im sure you wil earn a good amount of money. Smiley

Now is a very good time to invest in ICO. The choice is very large and you can choose ICO with different risk / yield ratios. It seems to me that now we should not expect from participation in ICO x100 per year, but x10 is quite possible.

I think it might be a good time to look for good presale opportunities. The next big bull market is just around the corner and if you have a good project, that has ideally already confirmed initial exchange listings, it might be worthwhile. That being said there is a number of interesting projects that recently had their ico and are trading around or below their ICO price. Do some research on CMC on the "recently added" tab

if we analyze the majority of Rus IPOs of companies that are represented on bitcointalk, then of the whole number it is possible about a dozen or a half dozen and we are really very high-quality projects that will be very interesting for investors. I love you tenderly I do not want to diminish the prospects of other companies, but All is known in comparison.

ICO in general is very risky... stats said that; In 2017, 56% of ico failed and the company usually just left. Some even raised ten of million dollars, and we're not talking about scam ico, but the prject just didn't happen for whatever reason. I know it sounds weird, but only invest with the money that you are 100% comfortable to lose..

Try to consider Amon Dropil or for investment. Very good company. Option to purchase BTC or ETH think not serious. Much more interesting to make a large amount of buying and selling tokens or receiving interest from them after the ICO.

I still think in 2018 is ok to join some icos, because 50% of them are still bringing nice money, only problem is to select and not join some scam.

Yes ofcourse this the perfect time to invest in good ICOs because if you will not invest now, then when? nothing happen also if your fiat money store it like that? Unlike investing on ICOs that has a possibility that can go over x5 or x10.

Many are saying it is not a good time to invest due to the current bear trend. They have a point; in the Sep-Nov 2017 bear market, ICOs were losing 50-80% of their value as soon as they list on an exchange. However, you do not know when a reversal in trend would occur. ICOs released in the bullmarket (the first of which was Powerledger last year) had instant x10-30 multipliers. But you do not know when the bull market will arrive (for ICOs). So it will probably good to just keep on researching ICOs, and invest in those that you believe in, but only invest half of what you plan to. Reserve the other half if it dips on release.

I think there is no good or bad time to invest in ico you need to know the compleat project the team behind it and the roadmap if you don't know these things anytime you invest you will be in danger so do your homework

ICO are good time to invest when u done ur research on it and u need to check ico rating websites and review and youtube videos before investing in ico and better diversify ur investments in ico
indeed in terms of investing, we must really pay attention to the ICO we are selecting. thereby reducing the fraud rate and increasing our knowledge of good ICO.

Now is a good time to invest in ICO. The main thing is to choose a good ICO company. In general, a good ICO company can be invested both now and in the future.

I think BTC and Eth are good choice. Many ICO always success but not all ICO success. So, you must choice the best ICO which will give you many profits Smiley
BTC and ETH are the safest and many already know about the two coins, and many have invested the money. for ico, yes right now a lot of ico, so you should really choose a good ico. read and learn the road map, development team, and project from the ico.

ICO are always a good bet for investments but Caution, you have to be very careful as 40-50% ICO’s are fake.

Currently, crypto market is volatile and investing in ICO of good crypto’s may give a very high profits in coming couple of months., if you are interested to hold for short time. If you want to hold, get few bitcoin or ether in your wallet.

Now is a great time to get involved with ICO's as they are quickly evolving into the IPO model where only the super rich are allowed to buy in early. Make hay while the sun shines and try to get into some great projects while you can. Most businesses fail, and ICO's are no different so try to diversify.
