[List] Suspected users that are abusing merit 3.0

Because anyone that slips thur the cracks, and 120 days later unless someone manually clicked on their posts it would be very hard to see the merit they received

So far I have reported 10 accounts, but hey is very very very long work (checked 80 transaction 50 merits/ea)

Heisenberg, your commentary doesn't really explain anything wrong.

But there is some suspect activity going on with gunhell16.

What's happening is that genhell is giving merit to people for the same post but in separate transaction. Example: gunhell gives 4 merit points to someone in four separate transactions, all on the same post. So in total gunhell has given 16 merit for a two liner post (that has no real content to it). Gunhell has also been the recipient of such repeat transaction activity.

Seems like these people think that's a way to hide the giving and receiving of merit so it's not so obviously...obviously they're wrong.

Was about to post the exact same thing, but looks like you have already picked up this obvious merit buying or multi-account merit sharing! It could be multi-accounts, as the poor grammar in the posts from the merit sender and receiver is very similar.

I think you'd have more people contributing to sharing merit problems if there was an incentive, like receiving merit for being the first person to point out an issue.

There's a lot of suspected cheaters in this thread are those people get any sanctions??? Or still nothing because they can't review those accounts??? If the DT's or some famous person of bitcointalk are saw any findings more people are gives merit but if the people are not famous they can't give merit instead red trust. That's how merit systems unfair

After going through this thread what i observed is that merit is causing damage to community as lot of people are keeping it on sale which is not good for community to grow together as there wont be any quality generated through it, owners has to come up with different solution to avoid this before this goes to bad phase

So, to Killyou72/73, what's the end game with this giant thread of accusations of people using merit in a way that others deem in appropriate? Are summarizing the list? Proposing some penalty? Preparing a review from the Admin crowd?

Perhaps I may be wildly wrong; but if I were a gambling man, I’d wager that the “end game” is to accrue evidence so that merit abusers can be permanently dyed blood-red.  The merit system is most likely to be abused by those who seek rank primarily for financial gain; and negative trust is inimical to that objective.  Thus, going out on a limb here, I mildly suggest that this sort of makes sense.  In my humble opinion.

Given that there is already such a penalty, I am moderately unsurprised by apparent lack of proposals here for another one.

The longer this thread goes on with out action, the closer it gets to becoming a safe haven for spam.
