yes many people don't even read whitepaper before they went into the project which is every wrong, as an investor all you need to do before thinking of investing is to get information about the project you want to got into, but so many people ignore this taking it as waste of time. read whitepaper tell you about the project properly, so is every necessary to read whitepapers

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Hype about that coin many times is more important that the whitepaper itself. I have witnessed some coins with sh*tty whitepapers going high because of just the hype they luckily catch.

I always read the whitepaper before investing in to any ICO or buying some new coin to acquire some vital informations on their team, plans and vision for the coin they are offering. Reading white papers is important because it can act as a signal to inform whether a startup is legit or not. But there is also a possibility that a scam company can hire an expert copy writer to make a legitimate-looking whitepaper.

Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.

You can watch their introductory video and reviews about them. In that way you can understand more and enjoy your time not thinking that much unlike reading the whitepaper. Whitepaper is just the overall project, when you wanted to know deeper about the project or when you want to invest, man you need to dig the whitepaper for that would matter the profits of your investments. Video is their marketing tool so that won't show flaws of them unlike the whitepaper. It depends on your preference when you just want to know how their project works you can watch a video, when you want every detail go for the whitepaper.

Most of the time, I'm also getting a headache from watching so many white papers.
So I usually don't look at the white paper carefully, I only know about it, I will go to the search team to see if there is a bad record, because a good team is the key to success.

Yes its very important to read whitepaper especially if you are the investor. Future valuation of coin prices affects the technology behind them as the project is ongoing. Also, if you are a trader, its also important so that you will know if you are going to hold or release a certain coin.Whitepaper details about their project, what to do and explaining the tech behind it.

Read all the white papers. So much to learn.  Easy to deduce amateurs from the pros.

Yes, because this is the best thing to do most especially when you are joining the bounty. And also if you ask to users who are very long in this industry one of their advice is also to read the whitepaper of every bounty this is very useful and helpful.

If I will join ICO or if I will be in a bounty stage definitely I am reading whitepapers and anything that I can found. Also I am checking names through platforms over linkedin or some other I can find.
Joining ICO means investing of my money and bounty means investing of my time..

I have never read about the whitepaper because I know now projects often take back the ideas of projects that go-ahead to open ICO calling capital. I am often interested in the amount of capital earned from the call and how it develops.

If it's worth investing your hard earned money, it's worth reading the whitepaper along with any other research you can do.

Honestly, if it's a top 5 coin or something, you can probably get away with not reading the whitepaper.

Like how many people have read the whitepaper for eth/btc and so on? Yet they still make a profit.

When investing for a not as well knonwn ICO, it's pretty much mandatory.

I don't invest in anything without reading the Whitepaper.
There are tons of ICOs that can be exposed as garbage by just reading the WP carefully, and that is something that will be of increasing relevance in the future.

Right now you can buy almost anything blindly and expect to turn a profit. But that is going to change in the future, and then investing recklessly will be like throwing money into a furnace. So it's best to start reading and investigating thoroughly now.
Researching fundamentals and business viability is a skill that takes a while to learn, and if you want to keep making profits in a few years you best get started today if you haven't learned it yet.
