Killing time? When you invest up to a thousand dollars, you will make time to read all. Maybe if you're only initially perusing through many ICOs that you don't read the whitepaper. But once you find one you're interested in, you would read it.

A few are written as a well thought out document, but more often than not they are written like a horrible high school essay. I prefer when there is more than just a single PDF and possible some proof of work, or at at least proof of concept for the product. Meaning, if there is more than just a single pdf I'll read through all the documentation.

I have read some whitepapers fully since you really have to understand what they are trying to do before you make a decision whether to invest in them or not. Also, the whitepaper is the first and foremost document which will help you in forming your decision. Though the whitepaper is not all that you need to decide, it is a basic when it comes to doing your due diligence

Reading all the whitepaper from beginning to end is sometimes really boring. I mostly read the only summary parts. Then i check faq section on the website to understand more about the project.

Your money, your rules. In my opinion though, it would be wise to go through the whitepaper since it will give you a good idea on what you're about to put your money in. Reading the fine print also offers some level of comfort and protection since you're educating yourself in the process and thus, would more or less lead to an educated decision and not just the "feel" of investing in something. It may be a cumbersome thing to do but that's how you increase your chances of getting your money and time's worth.

But only choose up in projects which do have high interest which you can find in icorating and icobench which this is my basis which whitepaper would i decide to read up and decide if it would really be worth to invest or not. Reading and understanding always about projected plans and roadmap is really a major thing to consider.

Nice tip mate, i will try the two sites that you mentioned above in order to read details about an ico because to be hones i myself has actually having a hard time to understand the benifits of reading a white paper or any important infos related to an ico but of course i know that that is the only way in order to know whether that ico is worth it or not. although for now , i do only joined an ico airdrop and not an actuall ico bounty because there is still a risk of scam and unfinished project.

The best way to find out a good and legit ICO's is to read their white paper. For me, I usually read first their white paper inorder to know what are the proper informations of this project.I wanted to know who are the team members, the investors and especially the advisors. And also I want to know the detailed descriptions of the project because without the proper modelling of white paper, there's no chance that the ICO will be very successful because it can't attract customers.

It takes time, but I read whitepapers at length. The more information, the better - it helps me to make an informed decision. If not, it is easy to go in blind and be led into a ditch.

I just read the whitepaper when i want to make investment in that ICO, but sometimes i dont want to read it at all because many whitepaper of some project is hard to understanding. In many whitepaper usually all explanation about technical of the project, and the purpose of the project usually mentioned in their official video.

I read the white paper, all of it's contents because if you really want to have a good investment you must see to it that the alts your investing is a good one. I don't want to waste money by just not reading. Patience is needed in an investment although some of the investors are just investing without studying the projects or alts they are getting into.
Of course, reading is useful, but there are no guarantees that the author of white paper did not copy it from another project by editing a little. One should be an excellent specialist in the field of block chain, to understand such matters. And since there is a skam, those who understand very little) I personally read, but I pay more attention to the project managers, as well as the reality of the project's goal.
The problem a lot of new investors make is that they spend too much time on things they should be doing last or not even bother doing at all and then leave the most important thing they are supposed to do first. I care less about whitepaper. Once I go through the website, all I want to see is what you have and what you want to offer and there goes my main target which is the team.

I do not need team members who obviously just opened a LinkedIn account, I need those who have achieved and I send them messages directly on LinkedIn ask them some questions and see if they are for real before making a decision. Who even read whitepapers these days?

Yes I'm reading whitepaper, for you to have an idea of how much money you invest in so you can not fool the ICOs. Read first before you enter a project.

I definitely do read whitepapers. But I need not do it oftentimes since I seldom invest in ICOs. In terms of campaign participation, each campaign will take me two or three months before I will shift to another campaign so reading whitepaper is not that necessary either. But I do read them. Most often, I do not read the whole of it. I will instead focus on several things such as the objectives, the token details, the team, the roadmap, and their partners.
