All the different forms of forums and chat media all have their pros and cons. At the end of the day it is all about trying to maximise TWIST's exposure to as many people in the community and if that means talking on BitcoinTalk and going on Discord etc then so be it!

This ANN definitely is important because it is often that first port of contact that decides what someone will do, whether they'll go further or just forget about the coin.

Please come check out TWIST! Smiley

This ANN is crucial, but not enough. Value comes from user adoption (this is why you make airdrops BTW), but TWIST has still to rise user adoption, which means it still has to spead news about its existence. Perhaps a bounty campaign for content (articles on good magazines, etc) could help.

The signature campaign here in the BCT forum will help in promoting the project but I agree that it's not enough. Aside from content, maybe some social media campaign too.

Are there plans to make other applications?
Apart from what is on the roadmap.

Their roadmap depends on community feedback, so I guess yeah there will be other applications.

There was Twitter campaign already and its reward has been paid out.

I agree with, good articles about TWIST will help, it will bring more awareness.

Btw, I gotta love the name TWIST.

No, there is no news about the project. I guess, the devs are working on the web wallet. My connection is ok, i have 20+ active connections to the network all the time, so maybe the problem is on your side.

One of the problems I have noticed is that after a while that the wallet is open, it tends to lose nodes until eventually runs out of them and it goes offline. In these cases you have to cloese it and re-open it  to get it online again. This shouldn't happen, should it? I understand some people don't experience this problem.

Can't say that I have noticed about the number of nodes dropping in and out... the staking still seems to be the same as before, albeit less these days due to the sheer amount of TWIST available.

I do wonder about how else TWIST can promote the project - a lot of TWIST was given out in the beginning with the airdrop as it was... social media marketing campaigns are always good but even that can be a bit of a dud as the word about the coin doesn't necessarily reach everyone... maybe some interviews and those articles might be a way to go.

But if you wanted to look at TWIST would it be a coin that you stumble across? Outside of looking up TWIST coin guess the only other thing would be looking up coins with address that have custom IDs - not sure how many people would be searching for that specifically.

This losing nodes and going offline problem is out of my sight as it never happened to me, but it's an interesting issue. I hope one day it will be solved.

The promotion is an another interesting thing. Organizing a mini airdrop would be a bad idea? I mean...the bounty fund is still almost 9 million coins, so handing out like 1 million coins for free (i mean...like 50 or 100 coins for every participant) maybe would help to spread the word. Ok, it could be somewhat controversial, because it would hurt the "equally distributed" idea as the original airdrop was almost 90 000 coins for every participant.

I never had a problem with the wallet to date but it's a good thing that the problem of losing nodes and offline wallets are now solved. Can't waste time in staking.

It's really a difficult question to choose, but I think we can set an upper limit. Airdrop a coin that a person can get at most can be decided.

You just need to keep running the wallet and unlock it 'for staking only'. That's all.

it happened to me once before, got in debug window, enter this command:
getpeerinfo

then search for the "banscore"  option, if you see 1 in front of that, means you are facing same issue as mine,
i had tested everything, but only re-sync the wallet solved this. it seems wallet do finds some blocks which had been found before on network, so nodes keeps banning my ip and i lose connection, until i finally get no nodes!!

hope this helps you too, as software engineers always say:
reboot is the solution for everything  Grin

issue is already solved Wink
as for promotion, airdrop cant help, but something unique will help more, in my opinion, a test or contest or something that can bring more and more users to project would be much more useful than airdrop which will end in dumping kids coin

Everything is followed by roadmap and even better (The potential of  Twist is clear). Wish you best of luck.
Just one problem I'm facing! (Since 2months ago)
The TWIST inventory is different in Wallet and  Block explorer (It is a few). I hope the team will consider  solution to this problem.

The distribution for the airdrop i think its very high. Example if the participant only 1K maybe every people get 170k coin. and for the miners is 1 twist/block i think that its not good for the network i hope Twist making some Masternode maybe

This is a convincing explanation. But I didn't understand which solution you are suggesting. By re-sync the wallet you mean just to close and re-open it? In this case I have already verified that this works.

TWIST is now listed on Blockfolio, CoinLib, Cryptopricer and Coinmarketcal. We'll soon be adding upcoming deliverables and events to Coinmarketcal which should help to bring increased awareness to our project. Development of the integrated Web-wallet/Toolbox is well underway and we're on target for a release this quarter!

Shame on me, but i did't know Coinmarketcal until now. It seems like a well established website with a large userbase, so maybe this listing will help us big time.
