nice work dev, explorer looks nice
your activity is what differs twist from other projects

if we get another exchange, we might be able to be listed on CMC too, then project will get much more attention around

Indeed we need to go on CMC first, it will bring more eyes to the project and so big investors.

with TWIST data explorer being released, sky is the limit for Twist. Nice to have active team on discord who answers all the questions appearing.

Very nice data explorer, I guess this is an unique feature which no other cryptocurrency out there probably has.

Pessimism towards Blockchain technology have been reduced over the past years, as it has witnessed tremendous support and investment from many cooperations including banks. The growing popularity of Blockchain has also lead to increase in demand. In fuel the demand, TWIST hopes to close the gap between the demand and supply of Blockchain to the every day users .
It is going to make use of some tools, programs and the help of its community members. The primary aim of TWIST is to provide easy, quick and simple accessibility to Blockchain.

it's just a bad day, at the moment everything is fine, finding the blocks is the same as before.

judging by network weight, more people are staking now so the likelyhood of finding blocks is reduced, usually orphan blocks means your connection isnt as fast as others on the network so they find block before you

I am having a very fast connection, but still I am too getting a large number of orphans, sometimes just only orphans. It seems a very common problem. I didn't experience that with other coins. Which could be the reason? And more than that, which could be the solution?

I am not sure I fully get the idea TWIST is about. Can someone maybe provide an example or a typical use case?

Twist's goal is to basically make the blockchain more easy to use for casual users and programmers and companies.

Twist id makes payments easier for people because its a name instead of an address, twist data gives an easy way for storing data on blockchain, twist api for programmers and companies to use blockchain easier ...
The whitepaper has use cases https://twist.network/files/whitepaper.pdf

Ok but having names instead of addresses will also be possible with Ethereum in the future I think and EOS also implemented something like that. I guess that is what all blockchain projects will follow as it is the easiest to handle for users.

In "some" future I guess all the platforms will use names or they won't have enough adoption base. As usual, success will probably rewards firstmovers more than latecomers.

guys the explanation is simple... twist has fast block times and stakes quite often so you will have more orphans

Steem, bitshares were first to introduce this feature, so Twist isn't really a first mover.

I was guessing this would probably be the reason. But is there no way to improve the performance, maybe increasing the active connections to the network? I'm not a tech so no idea if this would be feasable.

Is it possible to earn by simply holding this coin through staking or random bonus rewards or is it a pure proof of work coin for miners?

This coin was proof of work only for the first 20 000 blocks, since then it's pure proof of stake, so yes, it is possible to earn coins by simply holding your coins through staking.
