Scams everywhere now. Greedy ICOS that for some reason need 20 million dollars for a small project, Ridiculous.  Greed everywhere, thousands of coins that serve no purpose.  This is so far removed from satoshi's vision.  Premine bullshit  scams like onion.  Projects that have no reason to be on a fucking blockchain except to cash in money on the hype.  We need another fucking crash to clear out these shitcoins and scams, and you greedy mfer ICO devs are the cause of this bullshit.

That is why the need to support the regulation is very important so that the government could screen out the scam and ugly ICO preventing more innocent investors to become a victim like you. I just wonder because your hate of ICO sounds like no ICO is legit anymore but you are wearing signature of an ICO.  Undecided

The crypto environment is facing a huge wave of shit projects and scammers that are still making profits. The good point in this situation is that the technology is correcting the situation by implementation of good new tools to verify both sides parties (investors/investement) and many startups appears to fix similar issues. We intend to see a clean ecosystem where no need for law regulations and government interfer.

it has been a long time ago. but the crypto keeps growing and the demand is growing. it makes people understand the bussiness in crypto. existing concepts in crypto. and how they manage their plans. but now it seems to have been a lot of crypto education about ponzi and scam which is very helpful in the security of current crypto user assets.

the problem not only with regulation, people not educated about cryptocurrency, and have not clue about the Blockchain technology,
for them Blockchain is Bitcoin, and Bitcoin "Money to invest" & make " 500$ to 4M"
in 2010-2013 that time not many people knew about Bitcoin,
but those who knew Believed in Bitcoin, and always  trying to educate people that didn't understand truly what
is bitcoin and why people willing to pay for "BItcoin"
nowadays every  15 years old kid saying "invest",

in 2010-2013
i was one of those few people that truly believed in bitcoin and what and how Bitcoin going to change the world.

"What is Bitcoin?" or " why should I pay real  Money for this "Bitcoin"? "

me: it's DIgital Money.

them:  similar to Paypal?

me: yes and not.

them:  what do you mean?

me: well, it's instant. like PayPal, but the fee is super cheap,
and you remain anonymous.

them: where do I register? and how to signup, in PayPal you need to go to the website, upload id,?
how can Bitcoin be anonymous
?
"Ponzi scheme "

"Bitcoin Created By The NSA"

 I can continue but this
***** doesn't end, every time another conflict with people that don't know what is bitcoin.

now days only one question :
"should I invest or not in Argrggghhh

after explaining them, about the blockchain how it's transparent ledger that everyone has in their wallet, and at the same time you remain
anonymous.

after answering

"you can mine it with your computer"
and it's Freacking Decentered no
one will ask you from and where and how much you paid for that car with
 that sweet digital money."

and nailed it with success with the answer:

"Dude it's free money"

and that worked every time.

but Bitcoin
failed to deliver the promises because of the how  people use bitcoin
and what they made him

first, our day's government can track the endpoint transaction
so bitcoin is not fully anonymous

in my time most of the bitcoin  done  by mining or
damn you Mt. Gox

and not much interest from the government
more and more shops were accepting Bitcoins.

now you could wait 30 minutes to 2 weeks
and pay sUper HiGh fee.

To buy Fre@king Coffe.

and you can't mine it anymore unless you got a sh*t load of money
to buy ASIC

and more and more countries trying to COntrol the bitcoins it's self in their borders.

fewer people really using this as money they more hold it as Casino chips
and waiting to cash out, well I Kinda understand that:
now with the fee's and the price fewer people really buying with Bitcoin
so fewer shops accepting it.

we kinda losing the whole point here with bitcoin.

the point is We need To get people awareness of Blockchain Technolgy and education about Cryptocurrency and what is it and how you can really use them in real life.

and maybe next  time when people want to invest in some ICO'S
the first at least understand the difference between tokens and coins

Blame game will not solve the issue. It is the responsibility of every individual to research and study  those ICO before pouring money on their investment. Since cryptocurrncy is decentralize, it is hard to avoid.

Good ideas need financial support and with the help of the ICO they can collect the right amount. But because of lack of control, scammers started to use it and run their shitty projects.

I thought you were trying to do a general discussion about the bad effect of scam ICOs projects which are deviating from the vision of the Blockchain technology but you went as far as calling names which will cause harm to the developers and investors of those projects. I think that was not necessary. No developer is greedy but they are creative in what they are told to do.

The sad thing is the crash is not going to wash away these scams and shitcoins. Even shitcoins got a lot of hodlers, you know. However, I do believe this market will be more mature in the following years.

I can’t say that I don’t agree; however, the greed is on both sides. I don’t mind the scams and the greedy projects; as I can just avoid them. But so many people in the community are just as greedy and deceitful, yet can see their own behavior and just point fingers. Everyone see cryptos as a vehicle to quit their job at Burger King. I hope the community will be able to grow into a more mature group.

people forgot that cryptocurrency from the word currency no one using this as currency nowadays it's just casino chip you hold it to cash out
how people gain trust in crypto if they not using it right, no one look at crypto as money of the future like we did in 2012.

so from "free money" --> once you able to mine it!! and believe it will change the world.
we went to "investing opportunities"  but how can you invest in something if there is no future to it and no one believes
so you potentially investing in "air"

And too many fucking exchanges.
Some exchanges are really going to help anyway as obviously; the ones available are even finding it hard to accommodate more users. However, some of them really do not even need ICOs and most of them also come to just scam a lot of users at the end of the day.

Just like the OP have mentioned, the crypto ecosystem right now is full of shit coins and greedy investors as well as devs, but one thing I believe is that at the end of it all, most of them will be thrown away like a piece of shit that they are.

You are absolutely right, a lot of icos are taking advantage of investors nothing to offer no prospect.Everyone knows the Ico scams happening.I think it will take a few more years for the market to stabilize when the cap is higher and equal to other financial markets like stocks and forex.

I tried to explain why I think people lost their trust in crypto but people just tackle me
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2961316
and I still believe that the way people threat crypto today
there will be no cryptocurrency that we really trust

Nature of the beast yo - the whole point of this was to allow people the financial freedom to do whatever they felt like doing, abd this is what some people came up with. They do what they know, which is just to take advantage of timing and misinformation to capitalize on those who don’t have the wisdom to know the risk involved in projects like these. Why invest your life savings in a project you really believe to be a success, when you Arent okay with losing all of it because all your ceo and staff never had verified identities to start with? Look around at the non-blockchain company trends lately - the previous generation of businesses are out to ‘disrupt’ other businesses because middle men have become very rich dictating the nature of our business relationships for years now, including banks!

If People are doing what they think will make them tons of money, there will be  greedy people trying to get between them and that money. The difference is in crypto  we have the ability to engineer this market to greatly disincentivize these companies from entering the sphere, the issue is that these scam companies know how to market in the centralized world, insta fb etc. The reason their strategies work is because noobs don’t know enough about blockchain to make solid decisions, which I could say should be a focus(like cryptokitties or something).

Sad to say but I agree with this, there are a lot of ICO's that are scamming people. Although there are some who have good ICO projects but I must admit there are more greedy people too. That's why we need to do a lot of research before investing our money into these new ICO's because people are more focusing on getting more money than investing in the project itself which will be beneficial for us.

I couldnt disagree these developers who are createing hundreds of scam projects everyday are doing because of the money that they can raise with the token sales, which is clearly opposing satoshi's vision of gaving these coins around bitcoin. Many people are getting into these ICO thing because of the promised gains that they can get,not knowing these are scam projects ,eventually these developers will run away from their investors,to many shitcoins enough!

Why be so categorical? Of course, there are a lot of scam projects now, but I explain this by the fact that the ICO market is still very young. The absence of regulatory authorities makes the process of market formation more complex.

The crypto "culture" is definitely not what it once was. Everyone is greedy and scammy nowadays. I hope it's just a phase.
