Stuff like this has been happening for years, scam ico's were here a couple of years ago already.
This is just what happens when people see they can make money., i think the bad projects and stupid investors will get weeded out at the end.

This is true, but not all ICOs are scams, you must see the bigger picture mate. But you took it heart. Perhaps you was scammed and feel this way or you have finally been enlightened with your surroundings?

Yes thats right because right now its more ICO and coins are came up and some of them are scam. So its not easy to trust them right now, also its difficult to know which is scam and which is not. Maybe we should extra careful to choose ICO and read there proposed project, also we need to be wise more to not be a victim of scam in crypto.

It might be true that too much ICOs these day with already 'completed' presale that expose their token publicly raising a huge amount that was in the end not that active as it looked to be. It's better to stay away projects with overconceptual ideas unless they are backed up by good companies or have a very good background, certainly not individual as they could easily be endorsed by few ETHs.

Well you can't control those kind of things because crypto world are decentralized also. Too many abusing cryptocurrency to scam people because they know that there are no laws here. But don't worry karma is so fast and I know they will hit instantly.

Many alt coins are created only for speculation. You have to study the project to see if the coin has a future or not. In the long term you need to buy only reliable coins with a promising project. Speculative coins can make you profit in daily trading but not with HODL strategy.

I don't think you can blame the team only, also the investors or the gambler, I do believe most of these ICOs do not need more than $10 million IMO, because what they are offering is just a token, we don't have any other stake in the company, but this is the world we are, everyone want the next Ethereum and NEO so people are now throwing money on any idea with hype, some projects close their whitelist in minutes because of oversubcribion

The more popular the crypto become, more scam ICO we will see. But this have a good side as well. The market of ICO is more competitive and this is good think for the investors.

I do translations now and then.  This seems like a good way to 'invest' in ico's.  I don't much eth/money in them anymore because there are way way too many ico's now.  Doing translations I noticed that some projects use very bad English which makes me think they're not very professional and thus might be scams.  I think most of them will get no further than some pump on some exchanges before they die.  But there are some that WILL survive and have a working product that will be used some day.  Are you ready to miss that boat?  I'm not.  That's why I try to gather some tokens/coins of projects that might get somewhere someday.  You never know...  

I'm all in for Vitalik's suggestion of making ICO's reach certain goals on the roadmap before they are able to get their eth/money.  Because now it's just some idea, get loads of eth and dissapear.

I'll step in here, this is why VLB - Vehicle Lifecycle Blockchain changed their soft cap to $4,000,000 and hard cap to $12,000,000 which is a real deal unlike those greedy ICO's that you mentioned and VLB token is good for car owners, car entreps and passengers. They are even partnered with Uber so their token will be useful in the future.

Pretty much, this. There are tons of good ICOs out there, whch offer actual services with a reasonable hard cap and a proper defined incentive to use their tokens, VLB being only one of them.

Sure, there are a lot of scam as well, but that only means, you need to be careful with your money.

Good catch that you have also an eye to VLB. Talking about scams, they are inevitable with the current market standards and they are just patrolling looking for those potential investors that are also greedy enough to believe their promise of great return but they are not knowledgeable on where they are entrusting their money.

Indeed! This is the worst scenario that is happening in the crypt world. Too many unnecessary ICO which does not serve the main purpose in the crypt market. Sometimes it leads to unsuccessful investment but the worst case was it turns out to be scam.

I don't think that it is all about that. Not all ICO project does not serve it purpose. Many ICO running smoothly the way they serve the target market and do make a lot money for those investor who risk in it. All I can say is that not all the ICO is like others. Do make thorough research or best evaluate it them with your own understanding towards a good business.

All small Projects with High Cap are Shit Projects They Don't even think what could be the possible outcome of it. The Market is Still Hurt because of Those Shitty Project scamming New investors Who Doesn't check And Review the Platform of a specific project and after being scammed they will come to the state of panic selling the reason why market is always Red Days, But, LOOKING some ICO's Ive Seen Few Legit,Trusted and Useful in The Future,  if you have heard about VLB Project then you will feel Relieved for a moment, VLB team Refunded all the Investments they have collected when The cap wasn't reached because it was a little bit high, but all investors were satisfied to the trustworthiness of VLB team, now they have comeback with lowered cap, a great opportunity to ean profit in the future with this VLB token.

You are absolutely right, a lot of icos are taking advantage of investors nothing to offer no prospect.Everyone knows the Ico scams happening.I think it will take a few more years for the market to stabilize when the cap is higher and equal to other financial markets like stocks and forex.

And the funniest part is that investors are not really even helping matters as they really do not give a damn about digging more on a project and the greedy nature has caused a lot of people to just invest in any project and giving the scammers the chance to see gullible ones to tap from. Also, with respect to stability, it would take a lot of high usage on a global scale and a high cap, but are we even ready for that now?

In order to clear the crypto world from scammers you need to begin to regulate the holding of the ICO and then will not create useless coins. After the implementation of the ICO helps to realize the necessary ideas.
