Scams everywhere now. Greedy ICOS that for some reason need 20 million dollars for a small project, Ridiculous.  Greed everywhere, thousands of coins that serve no purpose.  This is so far removed from satoshi's vision.  Premine bullshit  scams like onion.  Projects that have no reason to be on a fucking blockchain except to cash in money on the hype.  We need another fucking crash to clear out these shitcoins and scams, and you greedy mfer ICO devs are the cause of this bullshit.

I am afraid you are right, but this comes with the growing of the market and involvement of more people.
Regardless of problems I think this is the right way because the competition pushes every project to bring out its best in order to succeed and because we need more and more people to be involved and spread the word about crypto.

You're right. The only reason this is that way is because of the huge influx of people in it. You have to take the bad with the good. Crypto is more popular than it ever was now.

The bulk of people on this forum are for earnings. This is real life and it is different from the idea. I have long understood that society is not yet morally ready for decentralization.

On the bright side: this has made people more cautious when investing in ICOs and some shitcoins, which is always a good thing. Maybe eventually scammy ICOs will go away now.

people forgot that cryptocurrency from the word currency no one using this as currency nowadays it's just casino chip you hold it to cash out
how people gain trust in crypto if they not using it right, no one look at crypto as money of the future like we did in 2012.

so from "free money" --> once you able to mine it!! and believe it will change the world.
we went to "investing opportunities"  but how can you invest in something if there is no future to it and no one believes
so you potentially investing in "air"
Hahaha! I would not agree with that though. People still use it as a payment method, just few. A lot of people are still using it to pay for service, so one way or the other it would keep being in circulation, moreover, projects are coming up that would make the usage of them a reality, but it would take some time before that would even start happening. I would not dispute the fact that a lot of people see it as just free money and ways of making money pretty fast and that makes it messed up.

The sad thing is the crash is not going to wash away these scams and shitcoins. Even shitcoins got a lot of hodlers, you know. However, I do believe this market will be more mature in the following years.
Crash can actually cause some of them to pack their bags one way or the other. Sometimes even the devs abandon a project and then if at all, you will see a lot of the projects getting drained in their own blood as people try as much as possible to flee, those who you referred to as holding are just going to end up bag holding the shitcoins and at the end give up, even exchanges get them delisted.

I can’t say that I don’t agree; however, the greed is on both sides. I don’t mind the scams and the greedy projects; as I can just avoid them. But so many people in the community are just as greedy and deceitful, yet can see their own behavior and just point fingers. Everyone see cryptos as a vehicle to quit their job at Burger King. I hope the community will be able to grow into a more mature group.
Yeah, the greed is huge and this is making it extremely difficult for the atmosphere to even have a clean air for breathing space. However, like you have said, they are unavoidable, and we just have to keep living with them one way or the other. One thing I believe though is that most of them will gradually end up dead and then probably will not even have any volume but this is going to take some time.

This is a problem that has been worldwide for decades. It is not crypto that has gone to shit as you say. There has always been that snake oil salesmen and there always will be.

It's the INTERNET that has scammed us, the internet has just made it easier for the scammers to find us, and take money that isn't held in our REAL life bank account, but a digital wallet.

I know where you are coming from, dude. That is true, scams are already pestering the ICO market and ICOs are now being perceived as solely a greedy way to raise easy money. But that is not the whole truth. There are a great many legitimate ICOs that will change the world for the better. There are so many ICOs that change the way people look at the traditional society that we are in. And for sure a crash is unneccesary. If there is a total crash, we might not be able to recover.

indeed so many ico trying to fund as much as possible money for their project. i dont think this is wrong cause the money would be use in many aspect. if the ico are success and able to fund much money doesnt mean the ico is scam or fraud cause what they are trying to do in the first place is to fund money for a idea they have.

I'll step in here, this is why VLB - Vehicle Lifecycle Blockchain changed their soft cap to $4,000,000 and hard cap to $12,000,000 which is a real deal unlike those greedy ICO's that you mentioned and VLB token is good for car owners, car entreps and passengers. They are even partnered with Uber so their token will be useful in the future.

Pretty much, this. There are tons of good ICOs out there, whch offer actual services with a reasonable hard cap and a proper defined incentive to use their tokens, VLB being only one of them.

Sure, there are a lot of scam as well, but that only means, you need to be careful with your money.

Yes they are the desperate drug addicts, the same people who steal your bike and sell it for $10. A bullet in their head is an effective cure.  Grin

I really share with your pains bro. Honestly, the whole crypto space has been so polluted that it gets so annoying sometimes, and then you ask yourself how this even started. The truth is that asides the devs, even the investors have a lot of role to play in this issue.

However, everyone has gotten so greedy that all they just want is quick bucks and care less if a project is even worth investing or not, and really, that crash is needed.

Unfortunately scammers have always been. There will always be those who want to take your money in a fraudulent way. In the market, large amounts of money are circulating and they attract fraudsters. So take it for granted and move on.

Yes indeed, scammer is everywhere. They are not only make a fake ICO, but they also want to gain profit by scamming over people who wants to join real and great project like VLB. I got someone who messaged me via telegram, he pretends to be one of team from VLB (this is a common method they are using) and said that he can give me a good deal if i want to invest more. Luckily i am not that kind of guy who fall for this easily (because i have experienced so many things) but some people might fall for this. So, aside from fake ICO, this kind of scam contributing too for ICO's bad names.

Stay safe, scammer is everywhere.

We simply cannot get away from scammers fully. In this crypto world, there is no point having everything very clean because there are a lot of easy money here. And easy money is an easy target of scammers. Before, there are so many ICOs that raised huge amount of money. When scammers saw this, they started to make their own ICO just to make easy money. And then they also proved that there are so many gullible people here that's why they also invented phishing sites and other techniques.

Yeah , the crypto gained massive popularity thus invited scammers too . I remember that time where every airdrop gives tokens . Now 60% of airdrop forms circulating the web are just scams . 20% of those forms are just farming emails and your information . Same applies to ICO those KYC can be used against you in the future if you submit your personal information .

Its getting darker every single day . Thats why i never buy from ICO unless im sure that it is 100% legit and has a future . Do your research , think twice . Invest what you can afford to lose  Cool
