Of course it will, bitcoin is more like the marketing for blockchain technology which exist even before bitcoin was founded. Although bitcoin did a lot of promotion for the achievement right now, blockchain will still exist and thrive even without bitcoin in the first place, its more like a car will still exist even without any advertisement to promote it as long as the car serve a purpose for the mass  |

Discussions about whether a blockage can work separately from Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies arise frequently and they contain a variety of arguments. CEO of the start-up LedgerX and adviser to the US Commission on Commodity Markets and Trade (CFTC) Paul Chow says that companies that are trying to use a blockage without Bitcoin are seriously mistaken.

sure blockchain can survive without bitcoin but bitcoin cant posibly survive without blockchain because we all know that blockchain is the heart of bitcoin and transactions wont be possibly procesed without the help of blockchain technology. not just bitcoin but specifically all cryptos wont be posible without the help of blockchain although without cryptos , i think blockchain wont also be recognized or known by the public especially to those who uses crypto. |

Blockchains technology has other features that can operate on it aside from bitcoin in as much as bitcoin has help the blockchains technology to gain popularity that has lead it users to discover other function of the blockchains. Bitcoin may not survive long without the blockchains technology but reverse is the case in the blockchains but without bitcoin the blockchains technology may operate at it minimal speed.

Blockchain Technology was driven to fame by its application on Bitcoin Gold due to its encryption that has been considered hacker proof. Bitcoin has been used as a reference to its success, providing a secure network for users.
For me I think blockchain can't survive without bitcoin as in demand cryptocurrency.Because for the firt place until now people really aimed bitcoin which the price really grow among the other cryptocoins.
The question however is, can blockchain succeed without bitcoin?

We all know that the blockchain is an incorruptible digital ledger of economic transactions that can be programmed to record not just financial transactions but virtually everything of value. So, blockchain will really survived even without btc. But on the other side, I don't believe that btc will be gone because it will be forever lead in the crypto. |

Well just so you know .. blockchain is succeeding without Bitcoins and that too very smoothly..
People are finding it's applications in every sector and using it.. and it's not something that's recent it's.. something that has started years before and it's still going on...
Hospitals schools libraries are the very few places where you can see the applications of blockchain live ..
For documentations and everything it's being used and successful.

I guess, It will survive. Because blockchain is absolutely separated technology, which use not only in cryptoworld. For example, I know that the blockchain provides in the medicine and in the financial spheres.

How many wrong facts can be found of this forum. Mostly this comments pass unnoticed by majority, but there are people like me that scroll trough all thread just to see what interesting there is. In the end that is not so important, its public and open technology. It is for all of us to use it and to somehow improve this world with better tools. Yes, it will. Bitcoin has surely played a pivotal role to get Blockchain going and putting it where it is today. But I firmly believe that even if Bitcoin fails in future, the blockchain technology will prevail. Hundreds of interesting applications being launched on Blockchain tech and some of them will get traction for sure. Blockchain is here to stay!  How can BTC fail? I guess you mean fail to become a mainstream payment system. Blockchain tech can be used for more than payments. It can be used to vote, verify messages, in gambling to prove wins and losses, and much more... I believe that BTC will never "fail" as a store of value and it will always remain as a speculative asset, safe haven for your funds, or a collectible, but blockchain can go beyond this and be used as a development platform. |

Can it survive without bitcoin yes. Other than using a Cryptocurrency, the puzzle to have a decentralised blockchain is pretty much impossible. Due to a lack of incentive. So yes another coin could come along that is decentralised but will it ever be as secure as Bitcoin. The amount of hash power in bitcoin compared to the rest is vast. It would take an awful lot of work and resources to get close to the security of bitcoin so personally I can't see blockchain existing on a mass scale separate from bitcoin
