I don't know about this. But I think if there is no bitcoin definitely blockchain will experience chaos, because bitcoin is part of blockchain.

The technology itself Blockchain can survive without Bitcoin. But you need to understand. that thanks to Bitcoin, we also learned what Blockchain is. I think that Bitcoin will not go anywhere.

I think it will. There are bunch of other new interesting functions have been applied to blockchain lately.

It could be, but if the bitcoin is gone it will probably lower the person using the blockchain. Due to a sophisticated cryptographic protection system, Blockchain offers a much safer experience than traditional banking.

What is the purpose of blockchains other than censorship resistance?

Yes Blockchain has many potential uses and to secure Bitcoin, so it will survive even without Bitcoin. It's just that most developers focus on using it to create a new cryptocurrency. This is why some people think that. Bockchain as a technology will survive even without Bitcoin. Bitcoin is just the first application of this technology. You think you'll see more cases using this new technology in the future. Banking, retail, chain and supply, identity are some of the applications that are viewed seriously today using Blockchain's distributed ledger.

Blockchain only exist because of bitcoin but without bitcoin i think blockchain can still survive because there were lots of coins that has been invented lately. bitcoin on the other hand wont possible survive without blockchain because blockchain is the system of every cryptocurrency.   Transactions are not possible without the help of blockchain, so there you have it.

What is the purpose of blockchains other than censorship resistance?

Blockchain is like a nervous system for the cryptocurreny. Without it , cryptos arent possible to work or operate. And as far as i know , blockchain also records all the transaction (e.g bitcoin address , amount , tx id , date and time , etc... )

It's a possibility, blockchain will continue to survive and thrive without Bitcoin.

As long as there is a crypto coins/cryptocurrency, blockchain will survive, accompanying the cryptos. Because of course the function of blockchain is just fixed for crypto, cryptocurrency is not just bitcoin.. and blockchain still has a strong role in other cryptos.

of course, block chain doesn't need bitcoin, while bitcoin is nothing without block chain.
Block chain can be applied to the government so that country finances are clear and transparent to where it flows, or applied to the bank can also.

Absolutely it can, and it will. Bitcoin is merely one of the first and most well known uses of the blockchain technology. There are many more possible applications of blockchain technology currently being developed.

The potential impacts of the blockchain are considered so revolutionary that it has been compared to major technological advances like the printing press, telephones, computers and the internet.

personally I think yes, this is a clever technology, and if it does not develop with the help of bitcoin, then it will find something that will make it known again!

Yes, I also think that blockchain can exist without bitcoin. We all know that blockchain has a big potential participants, and obviously it can be separated from bitcoin. Btc is just a coin, blockchain can involve not only bitcoin but also all of coins in crypto market. I’ve heard that blockchain is real and bitcoin is a mirage. Evidently, bitcoin has much more valued when it’s accepted, but right now it’s not easy for bitcoin to be accepted as fiat. Even  most of countries ban people from using it. Therefore, I absolutely believe that blockchain can live independently.

Blockchain Technology was driven to fame by its application on Bitcoin Gold due to its encryption that has been considered hacker proof. Bitcoin has been used as a reference to its success, providing a secure network for users.

The question however is, can blockchain succeed without bitcoin?
I think blockchain can survive without bitcoin. Because now many industries or companies that adopt blockchain technology in the manufacture of its products. Such as car company prosche and BIG camera that already use blockchain. Conversely bitcoin without blockchain can not.

Yes, Blockchain is only a feature that is found in Bitcoin and many companies and altcoins are using this kind of feature. If the situation is "Bitcoin disappears today", then the Blockchain still exists because this kind of feature is already adopted by many. If the situation is "Bitcoin does not exist at all", then Blockchain will not also exist because no one still discovered that kind of feature.

Yes it can. Bitcoin has been acting as the foundation stone of the blockchain technology but not everything that starts something revolutionary stays at the top forever and similarly Bitcoin will have to eventually make way for the next innovative tech. Also the DAG coins are going to change the blockchain world tremendously.

Of course it can. Bitcoin is decentralized and does not affect other blockchain projects. Perhaps one day bitcoin will be a thing of the past but technology will remain.
