There are so many other cryptocurrencies in Block chain technology in as much that bitcoin is the most popular coin. Even if bitcoin fails,I think yes! block chain can survive, everything is there foresight. Adaptable

I think, at first blockchain will not be much known if without bitcoin, because in my opinion through bitcoin blockchain became famous. Blockchain doesn't need Bitcoin to run. To my knowledge Blockchain was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto to use the principle of cryptocurrency Bitcoin. And now a lot of coins have emerged using this technology. Surely it was invented only for Bitcoin but nowadays it is used in various aspects beside cryptocurrency. Like tracking refugees, creating financial avenues, preventing voter fraud and so on.

Yes blockchain can survive with out bitcoin on it. But as we all know that blockchain is created for bitcoin so it worked better in bitcoin. So far blockchain is being used in medical records, ledgers and also in some apps. So basically blockchain will survive

But if it is reversed, bitcoin will not survive without blockchain technology. Without blockchain, bitcoin is like a bicycle without a chain so can not walk. of course blockchain can survive even without bitcoin.we must understand that blockchain can be used for all transactions, even many banks that make blockchain to replace the previous server system.If we see blockchain from BTC prospects, we can say with confidence that there is no future of blockchain without cryptocurrency.
But with so many DAPPs now running over blockchain (thanks to ethereum), we can say blockchain can survive without cryptocurrency.
In fact, cryptocurrency is just one application that is running over blockchain, blockchain technology has prospects that are yet to be discovered by the human mind.
