Bitcoin has played an important role to make Blockchain run and put it in place as it is now. But I firmly believe that although Bitcoin fails in the future, blockchain technology will win. Hundreds of fascinating applications are launched on Blockchain technology and some of them will get a definite appeal. Blockchain Blockchain technology is driven for fame by its application to Bitcoin Gold because of encryption that has been perceived as a hacker proof. Bitcoin has been used as a reference for its success, providing a secure network for users.

I think blockchain will still survive without bitcoin due to blockchain because the blockchain system is made for faster peer to peer transactions and has many benefits that can help a particular company when used, and the first to implement blockchain technology is bitcoin.

as many said already, blockchains existed long before bitcoin already but as "private blockchains" in companies only as supply chain.
No matter what happens with bitcoin, blockchain technologies are here to stay Wink
The use cases are indefinite

The answer is quite simple. Can you survive without water. the answer is No. So it is for bitcoin. It is the transport vehicle or protocol that makes whatver we do with bitcoin possible.
Your understanding is reversed, the OP discusses whether blockchain can survive without bitcoin. So the analogy you mentioned is not quite right. Basically, bitcoin does work based on a blockchain system, but blockchain can not only be used for bitcoin, many things can be done with blockchain, to facilitate human work.

A controversial moment! In fact, the technology blockchain can live without crypto currency. I think that nothing will change radically, If all supporting computers and users will receive Fiat for using the computing power of their computer. Therefore, the blockchain can survive even the era of crypto currency!

blockchain is an intin technology that becomes the strong foundation of any cryptocurrency
that is, the existence of blockchain is very important, even cryptocurrency can not live without blockchain
that way, the blockchain will stay on the earth, albeit without bitcoin

I think it can survive. The blockchain may not be known that much without bitcoin but because there are altcoins it may, depending on how these coins are promoted or used. If they cannot create more market for these coins then the blockchain will be a hollow block empty and void. The blockchain technology can live without cryptocurrency. I think that nothing will change radically If all supporting computers and users will receive Fiat for using the computing power of their computer. it has other features that can operate on it aside from Bitcoin.

Blockchain Technology was driven to fame by its application on Bitcoin Gold due to its encryption that has been considered hacker proof. Bitcoin has been used as a reference to its success, providing a secure network for users.

The question however is, can blockchain succeed without bitcoin?
This is a difficult question because Blockchain technology is a great innovation but bitcoin seems to be the hallmark of Blockchain's success popularity.
I think Blockchain will survive because I can see many other sectors other than Cryptos adopting Blockchain technology to set up projects. However most of the new projects are using the Ethereum smart contract and so they're also affected by Bitcoin market volume and Ethereum.

Blockchain has been known even before Bitcoin appears. Although now it is mostly known for securing Bitcoin but its potential uses are undeniable. In addition, Blockchain is harnessed to its fullest and considered a booming technology while Bitcoin hasn't been warmly welcomed and even banned in many countries. This demonstrates the idea that Blockchain will survive whether or not Bitcoin exists.

When it comes to the future there are two points to remember (in my opinion):
1. Blockchain has been applied to various big companies, institutions, hospitals, pharmacy, etc.
2. Bitcoin will continue to exist. Because some countries have accepted its existence.
So, Blockchain will still exist without bitcoin. Bitcoin will also continue to exist.

Yes, blockchain can succeed without Bitcoin. Although, Bitcoin has largely contributed to the acceptability of the blockchain technology been the first cryptocurrency built on it, it doesn't make bitcoin the soul of the technology. More improved projects will definitely be developed in future by utilizing the blockchain technology.

Absolutely, because blockchain is the platform and bitcoin is only the product. Blockchain will survive by just creating another product if ever btc does not exist anymore or completely obsolete. IF you notice, companies runs and test blockchain and not btc.

Yes it will. Bitcoin is merely one of the first and most well known uses if blockchain technology.Blockchain offers a much safer experience than traditional banking.

It doesn't in anyway fully depend on BTC, Bitcoin only introduced to the world, There are lots of blockchain applications that are being developed out here currently, the medical field is adopting Block chain for its records, The banking sector for its transactions among others. These two arent attached at all, and dont be surprised if Block chain becomes a success more than BTC.

Yes, blockchain can survive without bitcoin, but bitcoin has a first-mover advantage, causing the market to move right along with it. As the market matures there may be a decoupling, and it's possible there will be a flippening in the next couple of years, whereby bitcoin is surpassed by a newer coin.

Although bitcoin did a lot of promotion for the achievement right now, but the blockchain has become something very large and does not need bitcoin to propagate

It is unlikely that Bitcoin will affect the market as it lacks braking.

Bitcoin is running on Blockchain so the question should be the other way round whether bitcoin can survive without blockchain. It is not only bitcoin that is using blockchain now. There are other altcoins like NEO , Ziggurats and Redax that is all running on Blockchain now.
