Blockchain Technology was driven to fame by its application on Bitcoin Gold due to its encryption that has been considered hacker proof. Bitcoin has been used as a reference to its success, providing a secure network for users.

The question however is, can blockchain succeed without bitcoin?
Surely blockchain can succeed without Bitcoin though it was the first project that the blockchain made use of but now people including nations are realizing the importance every face of development.

I think that we will eventually choose the new king and it would be probably Ethereum, so in my opinion many things would change but we will survive anyway without bitcoin as well.

For my own opinion, i think it can survive. There is a lot of altcoins exist in the market and ethereum is one of the most popular altcoin. Unlike bitcoin it has a big price and we all know that having bitcoin is can really survive.

What do you mean by saying 'unlike bitcoin it has a big price'? Bitcoin is obviously way bigger. Maybe you mean it has a big bloated blockchain or something.

Bitcoin is one that made it successful through the blockchain technology. Following this the potential of blockchain got revealed to the outer world. This is just a beginning and following this more blockchain implementations based on the requirements of the specific business were developed.

maybe? because theres a lot of cryptocurrency that have own blockchain so i think not only bitcoin have a blockchain but theres a lot of cryptocurrency also but i think bitcoin will not survive  without blockchain because blockchain is the one who helps to see the transaction and to make transaction every mins. and sec.

Blockchain is is a channel through which bitcoin transactions take place, it supports other alt coin transactions too and therefore can be independent of bitcoins

For me Blockchain needs bitcoin and bitcoin needs Blockchain.I think both of them need each other. It is a good combination if we have both of them.

Of course it can survive but we cannot say otherwise. All the coins are dependent on block chain as it is the backbone on which they run.

I think it really can. because Bitcoin is actually using Blockchain network. not a blockchain that needs Bitcoin. Blockchain will stay alive without bitcoin. because it can still use another coin. it will kill all crypto currency if Blockchain does not exist. and all grow from Blockchain and Bitcoin.

A blockchain can't stand up and reach consensus if there isn't underlying an asset that constitutes its lifeblood.

You are right, an asset is really important for the blockchain to continue its life and bitcoin and other coins are needed for the blockchain to continue to work.

Indeed, it will. Bitcoin has without a doubt assumed a crucial part to get Blockchain going and putting it where it is today. In any case, I immovably trust that regardless of whether Bitcoin flops in future, the blockchain innovation will win. Many intriguing applications being propelled on Blockchain tech and some of them will get footing without a doubt. Blockchain is digging in for the long haul! Smiley

I think yes it can survive. it's the underlying technology that made bitcoin successful which is the blockchain. as you can observe there are many applications that are being made on top of blockchain. altcoins are the proof of it.

I think since bitcoin is the creator of blockchain, blockchain is still depends on bitcoin to be also popular. But it can be an indepedent figure as long as it has the capability.

It could be, but if the bitcoin is gone it will probably lower the person using the blockchain. Due to a sophisticated cryptographic protection system, Blockchain offers a much safer experience than traditional banking.

blockchain is a new technology whereas btc just a currency, your question is like can internet survive without facebook. It is clearly that even if btc becomes extinct the blockchain is here to stay.
