Right now, neither is good. ICO is worse, buying bitcoin is not enough. I would say you should find a low cap & low circ.supply coin which has a mainnet release in the next year. Coins like that can moon a lot.

I don't think we should invest all our money in a coin. invest in coins 80% and 20% for ico because to reduce the risk of loss or fraud. when we join the ico I think luck is our hope.
