By your this question it is clear that you are new to cryptos. In such a situation any coin below top 5 is never a good choice as it can get you rekt. In start you should play safe. Even top 5 are so volatile that they also possess huge risk but a long term hodl and reduce the risk percentage. Anyone can time a bullish season and sell then. So, that won't be a big problem. Just never panic sell and have patience.

ICO, even the best ones, are quite risky when it comes to investment. Almost every ICO coin gets below the value after listing on exchange which is something not expected by the first time trader. If you are really into ICO, get into them after the coin gets listed.

Since you're a newbie, I think it's best to stick to strong coins like BTC, ETH and NEO. You could experiment with ICOs but not with too much of your stack and only after doing a fair amount of research to find out what's worth it and what's not

I think ICO investing is more profitable than buying bitcoin, as we know that many ICOs are successful so when it is available in exchange the price has gone up hundreds of percent than the current price of ICO, of course with ICO then make our money grow faster.

It all depends on the market situation. In the bull market, investing in ICO is the easiest way to earn money.

I am a newcomer to the crypto market.
Should I invest in ICO projects or would I buy bitcoin to hold and wait for the price? Please give me advice.
Sincerely thank you.

Well as of right now the ICO market seems pretty much dead with most icos not being able to hit their soft caps or barely scrapping to it, this is largely a combination of poor market sentiment and a bear market, extremely high valuations ( the days of every ico being able to raise 15-20 million plus are long gone) as well as a massive amount of scams and frauds in the ico space. ICO investments right now are extremely risky and my advice is to stick to the big names (BTC or Ether), could also take a loom at some of the big alts that are now pretty cheap ( Monero, Z Cash, DASH, NEO) But i would not recommend more than 10-20% of your portfolio in alts.

For me it is better to buy bitcoin rather than investing in ICO, if you invest in ICO then you need to wait for a long period of time but there is no assurance that the value will be good, unlike investing in BTC you can earn within a short period of time so it is still up to you on what kind of investment you will choose.

Now is not the time to invest in ico. It's just that now people are trying to get into bitcoin and not to altcoins and therefore it's better to invest in iso later...

It seems to me that today it is equivalent to invest in Bitcoin, what to invest in ico companies. The risks are very large and it still takes a very long time to wait for profits. But if you know real and promising projects, ico companies give good bonuses for investors.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.
I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on exchanges right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

I prefer Bitcoin because Bitcoin has proven quality and is now the king of all coins,
so I suggest you choose Bitcoin to be an investment in the long run.

Yes, bitcoin. The newbie should temporarily forget about ICOs. Many of these projects, over 85% are the same. The beginner should better start with the crypto.

I completely agree with your opinion, because for beginners you need to learn a lot of information before you start to act. Each new user of crypto currency is very deceptive when he hears a lot of predictions that Bitcoin will rise to 150,000 dollars. Thus, all make mistakes, Hoping for a quick earning of big money.

I see Bitcoin is no longer profitable if you invest in small amounts, I advise you to try investing in new token that ICO just finished and NOT in ICO project.

but nevertheless the crypto currency really gives opportunities for financial stability in the family. If this were not so, then the crypto currency would not become so popular. But what happens today with the market, this phenomenon is temporary, as the demand for the crypto currency is growing daily and this will definitely lead to stabilization in the market and an increase in the price.

ICOs are a great bet for you, as for BTC I would probably consider ETH instead.
ETH will always be necessary for several things, so don't worry too much. Look at ETH as the gateway into new projects.
If you've got extra eth laying around i would absolutely look into some awesome ICOs like these.

Sincerely thank you.

Investment in good ICOs pays better than buying 1bitcoin, in as much as you are not investing in scam ico, it's much more easier to get x5 upward in ico than just buying only bitcoin

there are lots of good ICO but if you want to earn even a little every month or every week you can invest to bitcoin itself since the year are yet to reach december which people predicted that when december comes the price will hits a good price for btc so it is better to invest to it because if you invest in ICO it requires you to hold for along period of time.
