That depends if ICO is valuable of course  From myself I can suggest to read some about Nebula Network - it's decentralized storage cloud with emission mechanism tied to the supply (solid backing in form of computational power and disc space). Thanks of it it's rock stable and independent from BTC. It may be perspective project and rising star of Q3 2018.. |

Bitcoin it as gold, is reliable there and you will not lose the money, there it is necessary to store a part of means. The ico market is very complex, there are daily tens of tokens about which will soon forget and they will cost nothing. Of course there are projects which are very good and will make a lot of profit. But they need to be seen among all. The part of money needs to be invested in such projects.

If you want make more money, you can invest on ico. Nowadays, ico is more successful, and they made a x5-x10 profit from their ico price when the tokens are available on the market. But if you want a long term investment, just invest in bitcoin and relax until few years.

investing in ico is more profitable than investing in btc . Why? Simply because ico coins are more cheap plus you do also get a bonus ( bonus will depend on which stage you invest and how much did you invest ) the earlier and the more you invest is always equals to higher bonus or rewards. while btc does not give you these benefits.
Btc is also always down which means you cant always earn a profit on it.
So my choice would be ico. Though i also invest on btc as my secondary alternative investment.

Investing in an ICO project is sometimes more profitable than an inves in bitcoin because every purchase must be a bonus but if the project is not a scam thing we need to be aware of is the existence of scam ico projects are very detrimental to investors because the money in the inveskan certainly never come back.

Instead of your money lost you better buy bitcoin and hold up to 2 years ahead to get clear results.
What you say is absolutely not true; today the ico are much more controlled and selected, they often have consultants and advisors of international importance, have agreements and partnerships with other companies, ask kyc to investors and sometimes even AML ..... in fact today it is very difficult to enter the successful Ico compared to the past, and the gains are greater than in the past. I rate ico higher. The profit will be higher if you make the right choice. and longer duration of Bitcoin investment. However, remember that out there millions of people make a living by cheating others, Ico or Bitcoin is also risky.

You need to do both if you have no experience at all it's better to buy bitcoin, but if you can analyze many projects, then it's definitely better to invest in ICO. Because the growth of coins in ICO is many times higher than bitcoin, but they also drop much more. |

More and more ico are Scam. Ico without KYC are scam and Ico with KYC are scam. 90% of the Ico are scam today or will not finish the ico because the softcap is not reached. Or the team is running away. Investing in BTC is safer. BTC will still live in 2 or 5 years |

If you can really afford to start an investment in bitcoin then you should start now and hold it for a moment . I think that's a good choice right now because most of ico's today are just crap and full of promises so investing in bitcoin is much safer than investing in some new ico. |

To buy BTC is safer than to take a part in ICO.
But if you take the risk you can make more money in short time.
You can also think about to buy ETH.
For newbies I would say its better to buy BTC instead of join ICOs.
