I am a newcomer to the crypto market.
Should I invest in ICO projects or would I buy bitcoin to hold and wait for the price? Please give me advice.
Sincerely thank you.
This two is a both good investment if you want to invest in crypto currency but for now it is better to buy BTC than invest in ICO because the ICO now is not doing great in the market.

honestly majority of icos are scam. it is impossible to predict the market in this year , and about picking some good ico In my opinion EON - neonexchange - dav network looks Great icos.

Well I'm waiting for neonexchange too. I want to try something on NEO but it looks like they still on hold with their ICO?
Am I right? I thought they changed ICO start date?

Anyway for newbie still "Buy bitcoin" is the best choice. Even now when we have turbulance on market, BTC still more stable than altcoins.

I would say diversify if you have a good amount to invest. Put 30% in BTC, trade 40% in altcoins and invest 30% in ICO. This way you can hedge your risk and will maximize profit in the less risk possible. Never go all in single coin. Crytpocurrencies don't worth that much risk. Diversification is the best way possible to dodge the volatility in altcoins and get the best out of cryptos.

Definitely buy Bitcoin as a newcomer and get a feeling of crypto at first.
After that you can think about which ICO is worth to invest.
But at the moment i would prefer hodl the Bitcoin.

If im the one in this situation, I think I will do both.Since the market now is in red zone it is our instinct and natural to us to find an alternate coin that has the potential to grow in the market aside from bitcoin. Though investing in ICO is different than buying bitcoin, as of now its hard to find a trusted exchanges and its not easy to monitor the price unlike investing and buying bitcoin.

I have invested in a number of ico campaigns in the past when I was listed on the stock market. but I saw my luck and the fact that many of the icons I followed were seriously depreciating when it entered the stock market.

No need of restricting yourself, buy some bitcoins for the long term hodl and whatever money you're left with you can invest that in ICOs and for your information right now the ico market isn't as bad as I thought you can go all in with ico investments but be sure to pick the right project to avoid making an irrecoverable lose.

It is quite obvious that in the next few weeks investors will want bitcoin, not ICO. This trend can not be ignored.

If you buy ICO you have 90%-95% to lose everything. Because I see that you write "newcomer"
BTC is the most stable. From January he lost only two times I dont other crypto who lost worth less than BTC (exclude this things like Tether)

Definitely! When you are investing in an ICO, you are buying than coin at the lowest price possible. It is way easier to multiply your investment by x5, x10, etc. If you invest in Bitcoin, you might get your investment x0.1 or x0.2 but x5 or x10 it is impossible.

Investing in ICO can be a broad term to give an advice on. There are probably less than 3% of the ICOs will give you a good return. If you're still new and not familiar with researching blockchain/crypto projects, I'd recommend you to look at the known coins like BTC/NEO/ETH, etc.

I use both strategies. Sometimes investing in bitcoin brings me more profit than investing in alternative coins. The market is very volatile and we must be able to be flexible.

Investing in ICO promises to bring us huge profits in the future. However, now there are many ICOs that are not capable of success, even scams. So investing in ICO is risky, we have to study thoroughly before investing in ICO. I choose to invest in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the king of the market, it has great potential. I believe in the future Bitcoin will be priced to go to the moon. I recommend buying Bitcoin and holding until the price increases.

For those of you who are new to this, I think you keep choosing bitcoin as your investment tool. but with a small nominal first. follow the movement of the market and you must be careful in making decisions. for beginners, ICO I think is quite risky

I think it might be better to invest in Icos, but they have risks. With ICOs you can fold the money quickly and get more btc. But it's also possible that you lose the money quickly. If you do not like the risk, you can get a direct btc.

If you are buying bitcoin, you can hold it for a long time just to see your get more profit. And buying in ICO, you can take a risk if you can get a big amount of profit in just a short period of time or wait many months. Some ico struggles a low price when they list on the first exchange.

It's up to you if yo want a long term investment or a short term investment.

First, don't buy BTC because the biggest gains will come from altcoins. If you're looking for a safe option, then go with ETH. But to become a millionaire you need to find a lower market cap coin, probably less than 50M. Then, get a 50-100x. There are a few good options out there, I'll just name a few I'm invested in. XSN, REN, COSS, INT. Check those out, I believe all of them have potential. Some more than others.

the main thing to buy bitcoin can be used as an option, but if it is professional and can have a good experience we can choose ico and buy pot ico. so I think it's a good choice and the benefits are doubled.

Hello dear, i would suggest you to just purchase bitcoin at first since you are still new to this crypto world. Investing in ICO needs an enough knowledge and you need to learn first the techniques and know more about the ICO Project to invest with. This is very risky for you to invest at this time since you don't have any experience. But if you really want to try, maybe you can but only a small amount only just to experience first.
