I agree, the NEO coin itself is very promising, in the future it can give a good profit to its investors, but it is still not close to BTC.

I doubt that this is possible. Bitcoin will not be able to surpass anybody, since this is the main crypto currency, with a very large base of rich users.

I think it is the job of all the developers to spread the rumor that their cryptocurrency will be the most important in the world in the future and that it will be able to displace the bitcoin as the most important cryptocurrency in the market. I've heard this very often from promoters of dozens of altcoins that end up in unfulfilled promise. I remember that since the middle of last year NEO has been announcing its great potential, and from what I see the markets have not yet bought the idea.

Bitcoin is currently clawing back it's previous 50%+ market dominance due to a lot of alternative assets being somewhat over-hyped and over-valued which is widening the gap for other assets to surpass it as early as 2019
