I dont think NEO would be able to surpass the bitcoin's postion this year because NEO needs to surpass ethereum first which wouldnt be so easy because it has the most transactions that any cryptocurrencies combined,ethereum has 40% transactions of the total transaction of cryptocurrencies everyday it means that ethereum has a lot of users which NEO wont have a chance to get because it has been there from the start.

I believe in NEO, in its project and in its success, but in my opinion just like Bitcoin the NEO will have to undergo a process of maturation and overcoming in the market, we must be realisty, independent of the news that we read, it is worth remembering that the biggest whales are in Bitcoin.

NEO wont achieve that this year because NEO will need to surpass the most solid platform in our community which is ethereum,powerful enough to get the 40% of the total transactions of cryptocurrencies everyday which means ethereum's transactions are dominant to the whole market even bitcoin's trasaction plus the all of the altcoins combined.

I`m already tired to see another article about some new "Bitcoin killer". NEO is one of my favorite coins and do I hope it will surpass Bitcoin eventually, but I don`t think this can happen this year... by the way, NEO must surpass Ethereum first

There are possibilities that NEO could be the top among Altcoins just in 2 years surpassing Ethereum but still i believed that no Altcoins could surpass Bitcoin even just to equal the price value of it because for me majorities of Altcoin owners are selling their coins to buy Bitcoins for fiat. By this scenario i could really think that no one coin can top the Bitcoin value even altcoins will going to combine their values.

In my humble opinion NEO could surpass Ethereum, given enough time. But i dont think it will kick BTC of its throne.

NEO is a very good altcoin with the support of investment community, especially Chinese investors. But I do not think that NEO can replace bitcoin in this market because bitcoin is still the biggest crypto and the most popular in the cryptocurrency market. With very little current, I believe the value of bitcoin will increase dramatically in the future. You can invest in bitcoin today and get great results in the next 1 year.

I wouldn't really dwell on that if I were you. There's no doubt that NEO is a good coin but if you're going to compare the two you'll end up just expecting. Bitcoin has been around since 2009 so I am not sure if there's an altcoin who can beat its existence until now as even ETH is struggling to have the same value as BTC.

However there will be many new players in Top 5 and I'm almost certain that NEO will surpass ETH in next 28-24 months. I'm now heavily investing in NEO.

Yes for me it's not possible in 2019 but if 5-10 years or more possibly NEO can surpass Bitcoin and Ethereum because we all know how China is big and if all the Chinese millionaire/billionaire out there will support NEO, well NEO could easily surpass both of them.

I am a NEO holder. While I think the prediction is not realistic in the short term, I do see bright future with NEO. There are definitely more projects on NEO platform and they are fit in nicely into the vision of NEO smart economy.

That is very possible but NEO needs to prove itself to these investors so these people wont be hesitant to put their money into NEO's market isntead of putting their investments to Bitcoin which is very unstable,most of the market manipulators are taking advantage with bitcoin's volatile market,so that is why most of the small fishes are putting their money with NEO.

I am a Neo holder and lover, I agree that Neo has potential to grow further.

I like NEO, in fact it is of my investment. But it is to early to say that it can beat Bitcoin. Before bitcoin there arem anin competitor tat it needs to beat first like Ethereum  that is directly competitor of NEO in terms of Smart Contract Platform. This is very possible in the future as the NEO has good platform and roadmaps,this year NEO would be massive because most of the new developers wants to use NEO's platform over ETH's platform because these developers wants to have a more future proof platform which NEO is offering ,ethereum has a littble bit outdated by these new platform that is why new projects are choosing more advance technology than the old fashioned ethereum.

I completely agree with you, because I do not see absolutely any analog for bitcoin, now there is a lot of crypto currency is true, but they all have their shortcomings, so I think that there is no substitute for bitcoin.

Looks like a joke to me.
Even though NEO is better and had many use cases than Bitcoin but still it needs alot of time to grow into that level. The Bitcoin which we all are seeing isn't formed in a day, it's 9 years of struggle before booming like this. So every coin needs time nothing happens in 1 or 2 years.
