What would happen if another cryptocurrency took Bitcoins place in Market Cap?

It maybe happening that another cryptocurrency will come in the market, but i don’t think so it will take place bitcoins but instead it will maybe add among other coins. So for me bitcoin is already before the new one get in, so it is not taking its place, it is only adding. So nothing to worry about bitcoins place replacement, because it will stand firm in its place.

I don't think anything will happen. Bitcoin has always been and will remain the first number. In order for the capitalization of any cryptocurrency to increase, huge money and coordinated actions are needed in the market of those who invest this money. But the most difficult thing is to keep the capital. It's difficult.

From the cost of Bitkon depends also the cost of other cryptocurrencies. This is due to the high percentage of Bitcoin's capitalization in relation to the whole market of cryptocurrencies.

What good is that? After all, any other coin is not as advertised as bitcoin. Therefore, it will be difficult or impossible to repeat the success of bitcoin. If bitcoin loses its superiority, it obviously will not happen soon!

Taking Bitcoins place in market? It seems utopic in the near future. Bitcoin has proved its value. Currently, it is the strongest currency of the crypto market. I do not think that any of the current currency  will take down bitcoin.

I think there would be a coin, but not today, not this year. other coins have long road to catch up with bitcoin.
by that time, btc's price would be so much higher.

Yes for sure, it will remain as the first on the list, but I don’t know if that’s forever, it’s also possible that another cryptocurrency can take its place if it no longer offers what investors are expecting from it, just like many were complaining last year that the fees for transaction was too much and they did correct it this year, and we can all see that the fees is now very low.

It’s no longer fast as it used to be at first and we are still yet to see the lightening network that they promised us, but if that will introduce more fees to makes things costly, then I will recommend they ignore that project and focus on something more better.

I believe that any cryptocurrency that takes the number one position in the coinmarketcap list begins to control the market just as Bitcoin is doing now. I have noticed that most cryptocurrencies on the list usually moves accordingly with Bitcoin; whenever its price goes up, others follows and whenever the price starts to go down, others will follow too. But that doesn’t that Bitcoin will come to an end, it will still be there competing for a better position just like the others are doing now.

It will have a huge effect in the whole market because the altcoins will not have a clear basis for following a certain trend in the market because they used to follow the trend of bitcoin and if something goes wrong in bitcoin then the altcoin will have its effect also and that is why there will be a huge effect and confusion in the market if bitcoin will be dethrone in market cap.

If other currencies replace the number one position of Bitcoin. I think People will trade bitcoins less than and gradually Bitcoin will fall into oblivion. But of course, this will never happen to Bitcoin

ETH will be the new king in a few years and Bitcoin will be in second place after ETH. I am sure of this prediction because the crowd trend is supporting ETH more than bitcoin

Its normal, any cryptocurrency can actually replace bitcoins in the future, ethereum has the chance to replace bitcoins if most of the people will be preferring to invest on eth more than bitcoins demand and supply is always the answer for the price of cryptocurrency pump up.

That is not impossible to happen dude, there is so many cryptocurrencies out there that are much more useful than bitcoin, for example ethereum for its capability to hold erc20 tokens that are extremely useful for ico projects. And if that would happen it is very sad moments for those who have invested a lot on bitcoin, and the new era cryptocurrencies will born  .

my view of who is in the top position besides bitcoin, I think it's no problem anyone can occupy the pucak position, either eth, monero, etc, because each altcoin has its own strategy to attract people's sympathy by gaining their trust, and I think it's better when it's not the pucak position inhabited by whom, but how can crypto always survive and become legal so we can work more comfortable and safe, hopefully useful and successful for all of us

It is possible to happen especially now that there are many new coins emerging and we cant control what will happen to crypto world and if someone can surpass bitcoin and become number one in the market i think people will support it just like bitcoin.

The price of the supposed new top coin would determine the price of other cryptocurrencies in the coin market. This coin would have to have some extraordinary features aside blockchain. It's clear we haven't reached that stage yet.
