Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I had read there that a measure of poverty extreme was 1 dollar a day and others talk about 2 dollars a day ... Then a lot of Venezuelans are in extreme poverty because they earn a dollar every 15 days ...

A dollar every 15 days makes no sense, I imagine its hard to track currency well.  Maybe its become barter, off the grid.    This is part of the efficiency function to every part of an economy, it even applies to money itself.  When inaccurate it really makes tracking any financial transaction hard to do I imagine.

This is why some people say we will eventually come back to gold as the age old reset of solid currency (governments world wide have this struggle with paper money, its no isolated criticism of one nation or system).  Gold cant be debased and has a direct measure of value consistant over thousands of years apparently.     Part of that argument to me would be crypto adds efficiency and certainly a fast clearance and instant transmission with low overhead in its utility to a population of users.   Hence crypto could be of great use to Venezuela and its people and I hope thats just how it turns out, everyone is better off with a system that works better.    But I've not read too much yet, if theres programmers available I hope they are valued and able to help the situation positively develop.

From what I remember, some years back India had a population of about 30% of its nation living on a dollar a day.      Maybe 10 years ago say, they have come a long way since

A dollar every 15 days makes no sense...
minimum wages in Venezuela (since May 2018) are $1 monthly if you calculate it
using the black market rate, thanks to the economic war induced by
the U.S. dictatorship and its local and international puppets.

but... minimum wages are... well... just that... minimum wages.
just a fucking dumb accept a job for that amount knowing that
a 2L bottle of Coca-Cola can cost you $0.5 in Venezuela.

there are plenty of things a venezuelan can do to earn more than that.
employers know this and if they want to keep their employees
they have to pay more than minimum wages.

recently, a carpenter charged me $10 for repair me a chair.
the chair was repaired after four hours, i stayed there watching.
$10 for 4 hours of work and materials used to repair the chair.

just one of my mining rigs (with four gtx750) is making $1 daily (including electricity)
and this machine already paid for itself a long time ago.

Unmasking the lie of the Petro

1-The Venezuelan State will issue 100,000,000 petros.

2-The Petro, a Venezuelan cryptocurrency, will circulate through the NEM technological platform, this was reported on Tuesday night by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

3-The minimum unit of exchange will be called Mene (0.00000001).

4-NEM Official (Editors)
Divisibility
The divisibility determines to what decimal point the mosaic can be divided. Therefore, a divisibility of 3 means that a mosaic can be divided into smaller pieces of 0.001 tiles (that is, milli mosaics are the smallest subunit). The divisibility must be in the range of 0 and 6. (0.000001)

The fact that anyone can create a smart asset does not automatically mean petro is a scam. That's the core logic of NEM, anyone can create smart assets, xem itself is actually a mosaic under the nem namespace(nem:xem).

Of course, like this one too:

The Presale will start on March 1, 2018 and will consist of the creation and sale of an ERC20 token on the block chain of the Ethereum platform. This process will promote and guarantee demand for the Petro Initial Offer, which will be made later.

But true, the new white paper says it, some enlightened one realized the error. Of course, the videos of mature explaining the mene are there. For when there will be another change in white paper.

-------

The scam occurs when you proclaim some things that reality does not show. Nem is not a scam, Nem verifies the deceit and failure on Bolivarian charlatanism

Caracas, March 9 - Every Venezuelan will be able to acquire Petros in bolivars when the Initial Offer of this cryptocurrency begins, which is scheduled to begin on March 20, said the general director of Digital Mining of the National Superintendence of Cryptoactives and Related Activities (Supcacven), Héctor Grand.

Interviewed for the Punto de Encuentro program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the public servant indicated that to carry out the operation, people must register at www.elpetro.gob.ve and make an offer, following the steps indicated on this website. .

He commented that the buyer can make a minimum bid of 100 bolivars for a fraction of Petros, called Mene, which has a divisibility of up to 8 decimals.

He specified that the current value of the Venezuelan crypto currency is $ 57 as established in the white paper (White Papers) promulgated by the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRAer9P2OqU

as these Bolivarians lie, he says three times that the mene are eight decimals

ah! and transparency, or rather transactions, are conspicuous by their absence. NEM does not lie

The petro are the new mirrors for the Bolivarians.

The Petro is to buy it at a free market price and sell it at the DICOM price (if you ever get it)

Or do you think that the Bolivarian regime will lose its money with you?

I have a couple quick questions.

1. How many people in this thread have actually completed the registration process? Did it really cost $60 in NEM per token? What was the NEM address you sent your tokens to?

2. I notice on the website it says "In the next few days the transfer of tokens begins." I'm guessing the ICO period is over, meaning they must have raised several billion dollars in the process. When you receive your tokens, can you please post about it here?

3. How do you manage to have confidence in this project knowing that the bolivar has dropped significantly since Maduro took office?

https://xe.com/currencycharts/?from=VEF&to=USD&view=10Y

These are all genuine questions of mine, not trying to insult anybody. Thanks.

i didn't buy petros.
i'm waiting its release to buy some.
when it is available in some exchanges.
so... i can't answer many of your questions.

petro is not attached to the venezuelan currency (bolivar).
it's like saying that you're not going to buy venezuelan gold because the bolivar has dropped significantly.
whatever is going to happen with the petro, it will happen due other factors.
