All This basically depends on the hype, any new updates from the dev team etc. I believe in the end there will be coins / tokens developed to address one aspect of our society, one blockchain per problem faced by human communities. so it depends on certain cryptocurrency which will move faster than others. And sometimes cryptocurrency will move faster than Bitcoin as well .

Yes these coins can move faster depending on the utility of the coin or token. There are some projects that will going to use the tokens as a means of payment and this will relatively help the coin to move faster. Many people didn't expect that bitcoin become the most popular crypto currency now. It depends on the people who using it, and the people that will support it. It is really depends on the market on where did they increase or decrease the value of other coins.

 Actually i do not see it at slow but rather is just thta there are a lot of factors affecting bitcoin price and am sure developers will sure make things change and also we should bear in mind that the crypto world is coupled with fluctuations in prices so if some altcoins move faster then they might have smaller market cap. We are seeing the opposite scenario at this moment. Bitcoin is growing very well but the altcoins are like stopped increasing by its price.
