What's your controller setup? Because at 250MHz you should be seeing 110GH each.

The units are fluctuating between ~95G and ~140G the average is slowing climbing. sitting at just over 101 each right now.
Im running 3 off of a laptop, each in its own USB port right now. It might be the Intel USB 3.0 controller if that still effects the Terminus as well.

I'm basically running the same setup and have the same fluctuation as you, I think is normal.

Might depend on the pool or coin you mining, I am mining BCH at ViaBTC

Ya, I was writing it off as its a lot better than running on the power bricks. I could only get the same Terminus units up to 225 on single unit power bricks.
CGMiners been running for about 1 1/2 hours now at 250Mhz and 0 HW errors. I'll take those fluctuations for this stability. and ya, its BTC on ckpool

Two updates:
First: the two additional Terminus are still chugging along great, and I couldnt be happier. Happy enough to purchase two more, which are on their way (Thx SH)
Second: I have been wanting to contribute to this thread, so I made a 3d model of the Terminus in order to 3D print some holding brackets that are stackable. I still have a little ways to go with the holding brackets but here is the 3D model for the terminus.

I'm seeing a daily average of 195G with 2 units at 225Mhz on a PI3, which is pretty close to the expected 99G/unit at that speed.

How many USB ports does your laptop have and how many internal controllers?  If you have all three on the same internal hub, could you be hitting the limit of the USB controller?

this is what i have for 2 of my pods running off of 1 laptop (win 7) no hubs, powered via pcie. i have similar results on my other set up which is 2 pods off of one laptop (win 10) via the included bricks. its just not running atm because for some reason something in win10 dont like cgminer (windows defender or something) so ill be changing it to win7

No need to replace your OS. Open Defender, go into /Settings\ and exclude your cgminer directory and Defender will stop whining about it.

Edit:  You might also consider excluding the process (cgminer.exe) in Defender's Setup as well if Defender is shutting down a running miner.

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the board an positions of the screw holes? (in mm)? Thanks.

I dont find a data sheet Sad

3.95" edge to edge ~ 100.33mm
3.7" C to C for holes ~94mm (93.98 to be exact)

SF

Edit: Added mm

Hi,

Temperature question:
Is there an expected temperature for 200MHz?

I am running it on the 12v 6a brick through a RPi W with a temp of 119F on the outside chips to 123F on the central cips. Measured on bottom surface next to the BM chip with a thermal probe. I assume it's the chip as it's square and there are 8 of them.

Sidehack mentioned there is a temp sensor but I am not sure where that is. It would be nice to have it marked on the image on the first post.

The temperature sensor is under the heatsink, in the exact center of the chips region of the board. That way it measures the chip temperatures more accurately than if it was on the other side of the board like a lot of miners do.

There's no "expected temperature" for any speed, because the temperature will depend on ambient temperature and voltage setting. If the temp sensor hits 80C, the miner stops mining until it cools down to below 70C.

Future versions will probably have the temperature sensor tied into a USB-connected controller so cgminer can give you temperature readings like big miners do.

yes i this certainly does happen. i wake up and cgminer is closed. thanks for this!

Finally got a decent voltmeter and it's taking a lot of the guesswork out of this fun!
One of my Terminus only reaches 3.07V with the potentiometer at max. Now I know why this one won't hash reliably over 200MHz.
Needs a steady 3.02V for the next step up 225MHz.

Now, does that mean with a better power supply it could get more power to the chips and hash above?

Got the V to MHz from this:

Will there be a supplier for this in Europe...to UK. I live in England and dont want to get stung by import duty.

Recently ive bought items of bitshopper.de  in Germany and theyre on Amazon.co.uk. Managed to get away with import duty..  too but dont know how long this will last (Brexit?).

Would like to know and would probably buy as buying through the (BIG)auction site beginning with E, theyre estimating $54 duty on this. stopping me hitting the buy it now button everytime i see that.

Any help appreciated regards.

As I recall, Sidehack said bitshopper.de will be carrying the Terminus once he has ones made that are compatible with EU-import regulations that cover materials used, labeling, packaging, etc.

Hi guys,

First of all nice job with the R808, it actually works. The downside is that I could get it just up to 70GH/s but I didn't buy it to mine is more for studying.

I have made a mining board using 63 x BM1387, it's a replacement board for antminer s9 .

I would like to know if any of the developpers which worked on this project would be interested to get in touch and work with me on a controller for this board
which is going to use the original cgminer code instead of using an antminer board.

I think there's huge potential to overclock the board with proper cooling as right now the chips are running at 0.45 Volts, which is almost half of what they would
support IMHO.

If you plan to create R808 with BM1387 chips, let me know, I can share some of the info on how the chips connect in exchange of teaching me how to control it Smiley .

I wish you the best!

Actually thanks for this info. Didnt wanna risk buying getting stung on import charges and then its rejected by some EU customs busy body jobsworth.

Ill wait for the child safe EU version  TUT  Roll Eyes hope they wrap them in soft pink bubble wrap along with instructions of how to unwrap them in a safe space without having having an accident. ??
