Blockshow America event in Vegas Fund Raiser:

Next month there’s gonna be the Blockshow America event in Vegas and it would be nice if IXcoin would finally attend one of these shows.  We have the biggest low cost blocks yet nobody knows it so we really need to get more involved and get the word out.

We wanna get a kiosk which is $5,000 and it comes with 3 free entry tickets.  Adding all the other expenses for 3 IXcoin representatives we need to raise 2 BTC.

I urge the community to come together once again so we can make this happen.

Like always, thanks for all your work, dedication and generous donations.

Regards,

Vlad

How did things go (with the funding)? Hopefully the upturn in BTC has helped a bit...

Not too well, last I checked we got around $130 worth of donations.  Not nearly enough so I doubt we’re gonna make the show.

Thanks to those who did donate.

Would be able to use that for gas to get there.  Because I'm dedicated like that.

It makes no sense to me to donate even 1 IXC in a situation where a few of you early adopters are having 500,000+ IXC but refusing to dump some. What, am I supposed to rise price 300% just to buy 1 BTC worth of IXC? No thanks. As I said earlier, liquidity sucks and I am not seeing any improvements there, you guys are just sitting on a shitload of IXC and refusing to let go any of those coins. You are that lazy to allow trade volume to be almost non-existent, like trading to yourself and losing 0.3% or less coins per trade would hurt you massively. No trade volume equalls no one really gives a shit. And there it is, a solution to your kiosk deal, just dump until you have enough money! Because, you see, my less than 10,000 IXC won't really buy me a lambo even if kiosk deal becomes successful but it might net you a lot of money, you will still have a shitload of IXC left. We who would like to buy more IXC but not the 300% pump way then might decide to post here more often and generaly work toward increasing the value of ours and others bags.

There are times when hodling is exactly what you should not be doing.

Everybody pitch in and help out.  Apply for listing IXcoin on Listex.  They’re offering no fee trading until end of August.

For me, I only own between 20-30k IXC and 90% of that is on the market for liquidity between current price and 10k

(To put things into comparison - I donated the equivalent of ~8-10% of my IXC holding in BTC value at current rates - although price was much higher a couple of weeks ago), I should probably pick up a bit more IXC at this price =)

When you say 500k+ IXC you probably mean the premine of 580k IXC. Well, not only we did’t keep them since with the last update they are in redistribution to miners (1 IXC/ block), but as community we collected about 1/3 of that 580k (used by the creator of IXC as bounties), but we paid several updates and services in IXC or selling IXC during the last 4 years. The total amount spent is more than 600k IXC , plus what Vlad donated to single users. The community here is not made of original miners. Even the IXC donation address is made 80% of Vlad’s who made them available just in case of need. He bought them out of his pocket, but not worthy to be sold at this price. So the hodlers you should look for are the early miners, which seem to do close to nothing for this coin but sit on their pile of coins.
What I see as positive:
- Archimedes & friends working on updates for free
- People like Vlad & many others ready to donate time and money
- The price of IXC is still affordable to anyone
- The coming updates will shake all the crypto world
- All the updates have been made to favor miners and users, not devs

Thanks for sharing the info, good to see a nice summary once in a while =)

You can choose:
- go in github, finish to compile the wallet 0.16.1
- wait for Archimedes a couple of weeks and update

It will be a soft fork, so don’t worry

PS I hope you have version 0.14.1 right now, not 0.14

Smiley

Take care

TY dead!

What is the new update adding?

It solves the malleability issue / Segwit / Atomic swap / Donation to miners system.

Oooh, new version, I'll update my wallet next week when I'm back in the country =)

Have donations already signaled enough for the kiosk? Someone who is complaining about IXC holders, in fact, no one is to blame that they were visionaries and they refuse to sell! We must remember that many IXC may never be available again, because wallet problems and forgetting passwords are normal! There are old batteries... At this moment, I don't have a single IXC! Of course, this scenario will be different by the end of this month!

And deleted drives.   Roll Eyes

I have sold plenty and given away even more.

If someone is complaining about paying $.10 for IXcoin then they don’t deserve to be part of what its future is about to bring.

I have pumped dozens of bitcoins at higher levels than this.
