I don't think Bill Gates did this for his own benefit. He is already very rich and he is probably doing things he do because he loves to do them. He was wrong in the past on great things too and I think he was wrong this time too. Unlikely jp morgan who spread fud and created own cryptocurrency.

In general, cryptocurrencies were created initially for the purpose of anonymous payments in the network. And the very fact of the destruction of anonymity contradicts the first reason for the creation of Bitcoin and other currencies. It's my opinion.

We can't say much about someone's point of view as we really don't know where he's coming from. For him, it might be the right opinion towards this subject and he wants to voice it out. Anyway, he already has good life so nothing can bother him anymore. Even those negative criticisms towards him so whatever he says, is like he feels good about it. And that's important in life, being satisfied with what you are doing no matter what.

We can only tell it's really needed when we will see a massive adoption, and crypto will be considered for normal use.
It's too early for now and that is a great timing for investors like us, we are investing in the potential of crypto to be successful in the future and I'm sure the reward is good for us in case it will be successful.

The problem in crypto is lack of trust. Only few projects and platform are established well and can be a good start for future modernization. But as it goes by, many projects keep launching and some of them used as scam get away. This is a bad image for the crypto. I guess, the only solution is to implement centralization on some part of crypto to avoid some incident such as this mentioned by Bill Gates

I do not agree if the crypto currency is said to be one of the bad things. Crypto currency is a great technological development. Indeed crypto currency offers several features which are very risky to be used for crime but this is not a bad thing about crypto currencies. The bad is those who use crypto currencies for crime when crypto currencies should be used for more positive activities. The bad is not crypto currency but the user is irresponsible.

I am quite sure that if a crime is bound to happen he will surely find a way to do so and crypto is just one of the method. There is always to side to a view and whether it will be good or bad depends on you and not the avenue that can help you.

Everyone deserves a say on anything and its their right to say their opinion. I think the word "bad" is not the right term. Its more appropriate to say that its risky because of its volatility and unpredictability. Besides its a personal decision whether to be in crypto or not.

Bill Gates may be right at his place but he should also know the plus points of blockchain technology, how much time is saved in doing international transactions even how much cheap these transactions are as compared to regular banking transactions.
