Bill gates says cryptocurrency is bad

Crptocurrency is bad to those people who know nothing about this because of the risk. Bill Gates might right but we have our own opinion and if you think you are confident enough with this then go for it after all those big guys will use bitcoin soon and promote their own coins.

So you're telling me 1) If you know about cryptocurrency then it's good for you; 2)Bill Gates doesn't know about cryptocurrency, he's nothing special in IT and doesn't understand anything; Right?
So: 1) Cryptocurrency ain't bad or good, it's just a tool; 2) Mr. Gates understand everything, he just see the obvious thing that nowadays cryptocurrency are mostly used for fooling people so he want to warn people they can lose their money

Bill is a prominent person but it does not mean that he cannot mistake. As far as I know he ignored linux and did not consider it as a perspective product but now almost all internet is working on linux commonly and of course an amazing thing, Bill ignored networks when they bear but rigth now nobody can imagine PC which is not connected to any network. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard and filled with double speak and politics.
Claiming that crypto causes deaths in a direct way is the most insane thing I have ever heard.

A vast majority of drugs are not bought with crypto, it is bought with cash.
So if we believe that what he says is true, that means that anything used to buy drugs causes death in a direct way.
So cash is evil.

Crypto is not mostly used to buy drugs.
The vast majority of the world uses it for normal things and those who don't use it, only trade it.

But, what he says about speculation is true and this is pure economics.
Any kind of exploding, speculative markets have huge risks.
Crypto will never go away, but the bubble economy surrounding it very well may go away.

This goes to show, that there is still a lot of misinformation about crypto out there, even amongst tech giants like Bill Gates.

Every thing is life has its pros and cons. If they say crypto currency is bad because it is used by criminal, money laundry and for drugs they are not wrong in saying that for some use it for that purpose . Fiat currencies are used by some people for the same bad things

I am not as smart as billgates but i do not think that cryptocurrency is bad since bitcoins is helping people to improve their daily life and achieve their dreams in the future since most of the people today are having a hard time to work on the corporate world.

I don't know how deep bill gate knowledge about cryptocurrencies,  but everyone has their own opinion about it,  about the risks,  I think every movement of people to get or earn a profit always has a risk,  the main point is how to manage your capital,  how to use it in a good management,  cryptocurrencies also has a risk in it,  but if u use it wisely I'm sure you will minimize the risk

It might be right. Some people use bitcoin blockchain as a carrier to those illigal transanction.blockchain designed for owner protection and securiy.

The only wrong they can find with cryptocurrencies is their anonymity and even now that is becoming less and less of a problem because exchanges are now carrying out KYC on their platforms making it less  anonymous. I would not be surprised if bill gates has some investment banker somewhere that is investing in cryptocurrencies for him
