I think it is natural that there are people who have such opinions about crypto because people have a different mindset. Everything has a good and bad side. All we have to do is look on the bright side. However, legal action is needed to avoid bad things. we'll see how later because I still believe that crypto will grow rapidly in the future.

I guess they are only saying bad things about crypto because of the uncertainty of things in here, there is no assurance that everyone here will make profit and will go out with a bunch of money not like their businesses where things is sure and safe for everyone. Cryptoccunrecy contains high risk and volatility that is why they dont like it.

They all say this but believe me, if all of them in the top government should be properly checked, most of them have tons of assets stocked in crypto form.

We don't need to blame him with the statement but we should have our own perception about cryptocurrency. Personally, I think he only views crypto from its bad sides. So, don't conclude that crypto is a bad thing just from its negative impacts. Everything has bad sides, and it is unavoidable. We just need to know how to deal with it. In this case, the government must know how to deal with the possibilities of misapplication of crypto.

Bill gates said cryptocurrencies is bad because it has had a direct effect and cost to the loss of human life and that can also be said about lot of other technologies and even real physical money too.
Cryptocurrencies have a lot of potential and the anonymity is one of the biggest attribute however world government need to find a way to regulate it that it will post less threat to the owners and also protect them from criminals

Yes, there is always a side effect of decentralization and anonymity. But if you think more globally about the purpose of crypto, without delving into its negative aspects, it does not look so bad. Crypto is a great technology and soon everyone will know about it.

He answers about cryptocurrency stating
“The main feature of crypto currencies is their anonymity. I don't think this is a good thing. The Government’s ability to find money laundering and tax evasion and terrorist funding is a good thing. Right now crypto currencies are used for buying fentanyl and other drugs so it is a rare technology that has caused deaths in a fairly direct way. I think the speculative wave around ICOs and crypto currencies is super risky for those who go long.”

He isn't wrong in his sense, if the cryptocurrency is to have a future, they should be able to create an environment of trust between themselves and the authorities.

The same way Bill Gates condemned cryptocurrency is the same way Mark Zuckerberg once did. Now, Zuckerberg and Facebook wants to launch their crypto, Bill Gates might as well make a u-turn. He may even have his own crypto already through proxies.

I think he is wrong,cryptocurrencies are very good and lots of people in the world have already realized this.This is a pretty quick way to become rich.Just buy some crypto and hold it for a year or two.That's it.

I respect his opinion. Maybe he is right. Everyone has their own opinion and this is normal. In my opinion, a cryptocurrency is something new and the main advantage is anonymity. For the state, this is a big minus since people do not pay money for their money.

Its his personal opinion and everyone is entitled for their own say on something. I think crypto is not bad in general but we can say that its very risky because of its volatility and unpredictability. Given the right preparation, skills, and knowledge, crypto can be beneficial.

I think that was very unfortunate statament and a big man like Bill Gates never would talked something like that. If one day he launches a crypto project what would he say then i am curious. And also cryptocurrency is not something bad, if you really understand the system and know how to use it, it would be perfect for you.
