Ive read an article about Bill Gates saying that cryptocurrencies kills people. He explained that crypto provokes people to hide thier financial transactions from the government, and revolutionizing terrorism, financial crime etc. Some people use crypto to buy drugs, bombs, guns that are use for drug dealing and terrorism that kills people 'in a fairly direct way'

I think Gates is somehow right about this. But i think it depends on the people who are using cryptocurrency, if they will use it in a good way or in a bad way. What do you think?

It's not the Bitcoin kills people, it's the person who kill himself​ because of the improper use of bitcoin. Even with the real currency, it can kill you, using it the ways it's not supposed to be.

It is ridiculous that bitcoin killed someone when we all know that it even does not exist physically. It is totally virtual in nature and it is just a concept, not any physical entity. Anyone who has brain will never accept that bitcoin killed someone, it is pretty obvious that the person who used bitcoin has done something wrong which ultimately led to his death. Such things are even possible with paper money.

indeed crypto currency opens the way for more crimes, Bill gate is demn right, i think the best we need right now is a form of regulation, if crypto currency can be regulated in any form it will help reduced the way people use it to commit crimes 

Don’t get me started on regulation.omfg.  Over 2-3 trillion spent on regulation annually!!!!.  120 billion newly added last year.  Everything is regulated.  From gum to toilet paper to the air we breathe.  What is the cost of regulation?   We can’t regulate everything.(think about how they are hindering life with this bs)  What will be the cost to regulate a global currency no one truly controls?   It’s an amount no one can afford trust me.  Change is in the air.  I can smell it.

cryptocurrency is not culprit but humans stupidity instead. People are so greedy, buy some shitty ico's and expect to be millionaires in couple years. People get frustrated seeing red candles and current price corrections. I don't know why so many people bother about if they are only long term investors. Daily trading is opposite and can be demanding and frustrating.

No matter what kind of currency is it, it is used in many ways it can be illegally or legally.. If its true that crypto currency was used by many criminals then much more the other forms of money, be it paper or gold.. criminals will always find their ways, so its not good to blame the crypto industry  for that.

long before the cryptocurrency created the perpetrators of crime can still run their transactions safely, therefore from the existing or non-existent cryptocurrency, the killings mentioned will continue to exist

Wow, this is probably one of the most extreme topics I have ever seen on here. You can say guns kill people and the gun lobby people will say no its people that kill people they just use guns as a tool. Cryptocurrency is a way to exchange value between two parties it has never nor will it ever kill anybody.

Frankly speaking, the disadvantages and difficulties we are facing are the results of our own decisions and negligence. We're the one making the disadvantage within us. Bitcoin can be used in bad ways if we choose to do so, it does not kill people. We kill ourselves due to our own actions.

Yes you are right the users of the people decided how to use bitcoin for their life and it couldn’t be the bitcoin’s mistakes so the bitcoin is one of the good way to make money and some people miss use it .

Cryptocurrency good or bad depends on the user.
It is an advanced payment method, so people use it easily to calculate for a personal purpose.
If people use it to buy bombs, mines, weapons, or hire a gun... it destroys people, killing the world. But that is just a few of the purposes of using Cryptocurrency. Most are still for human needs. Therefore, Cryptocurrency can not kill humans and destroy the world.

I wouldn't say crypto currencies kill people directly but there has been deaths indirectly caused by crypto. The same can be said for fiat but we don't have people screaming fud about fiat.
No matter what is used as a currency there will be indirect deaths.

Cryptocurrency is just a currency exchange environment but it is designed for the purpose of exchanging digital information through some cryptographic principles. So when exchanges hold the seller and the buyer, it depends on their personal purpose. Telling Cryptocurrency to kill people and ruin the world is a ridiculous thing.

Well if you ask me, he really isn't that far from the truth, the only thing that I found wrong about what he has said is that crypto currencies are the main reason for this when in fact, things like these have been happening already since the dawn of men. He has to understand that no matter the circumstances or the currency whether crypto exists or not, crimes will still happen and continue to happen. The only difference is that some really do take advantage of the fact that cryptos make it much of a hassle for the authorities to track down criminals. But take note that this isn't impossible. So to be fair, I think that as securities and technologies improve more and more everyday, then criminality also does.

Its not even true that most of the people are using bitcoins for crimes because most of the people who are investing on cryptocurrency are planning to be rich someday that's why they are buying a huge amount in the market.

I think everything in cryptomarket is possible. The assumption I think is that crytos such as bitcoin promote terrorism since some rich persons are the ones funding the terrorist. This mindset enables philosophers that indeed cryptos kill people.

agreed with you.cryptocurrencies has too many disadvantages so why a lot of countries don't allow it.they announce crypto illegal.but cryptocurrencies have a lot of advantage also.If any government want, Its possible to use crypto for a betterment.

Anything which is not adopted completely will always bring some drawbacks within it self. It is like that doctor has given you 3 medicines and you are taking only one and complaining about the doctor. Bitcoin is a complete package, so if the governments are not legislating and implementing it for the people then how will they be able to know the problems and issues related to it, so to do something to stop the bad actions initially, governments will have to allow the people to use it.
