They were a startup, and the fact that they have over a million location verifying beacons already built, and hundreds of thousands ready to be enabled, have obtained SEC Reg A+ Equity Qualification, and are now launching a decentralized location network through a token sale which is doing well (check their token sale progress on Etherscan) speaks volumes about the kind of potential that they have! Contrary to what you have mentioned, all of these show that they are actually growing in influence and are gaining traction and recognition.
