This is a great idea well shared. Also investing fiat currencies will also help in  times where you have not access to what has been accumulated on your blockchain. Thanks for sharing.

All government care about is  how to charge taxes, therefore I don't think the government will wins over BITCOIN as long as they get what they want!

The word that is being spread about the authorities that has started a fight adainst cryprocurrencies is a bit exaggarated and somebody makes it look much more serious than it actually is. So I doubt that the government will be able to stop such strong movement as the crypto currency market.

For me, they can stop bitcoin, but they can regulate bitcoin. Yes, SEC has the power to do it, but they can’t stop the internet. Yes, at this rate government can win over bitcoin because they have the jurisdiction to do it, but stopping the internet to make sure that bitcoin will also end is very impossible. The government can win over bitcoin but at the end of the day bitcoin will continue and will not end even that happen.   Smiley

Be ready and aware that 2018 is the year of regulatory reckoning. Countries around the world are trying to determine how they are going to treat cryptocurrencies. Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) has halted several ICOs and hinted at the need for greater crypto regulation.

I am into cryptocurrency because of freedom, I can't deny to myself that I have worries regarding this issue. And as an investor, I really have no choice but to stay with crypto once the governments around the world have control to cryptocurrencies (if that became possible).

So as much as we can, also invest with physical properties with what you've earned. For we don't know what will happen next with our money in the digital world.

This is not an advice. It's simply a shared idea.

How about you? What do you have in mind? Undecided

You are right, The Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) is planning to create a regulation about the crypto. I think they need more years before they publish the provision to the public about their plan on the crypto. The issues of this there are some ICO is fraud, so they want to create a new regulation on it. We don’t know what will happen if they publish the law in the community it might good to the future or not.

if the government succeeds in controlling the bitcoin circulation and succeeds in bitcoin it seems like bitcoin will be a place to play the price game to make the people will fall poor again, I hope the government will not be able to master bitcoin.

There is no chance for them to be in control of bitcoin because if that thing will happen in the future then there is no decentralization thing at the first place because we all believed that bitcoin is decentralized, so if bitcoin is decentralized then government cannot touch it or even dictate it on what it should do to people or what it should act in the market.

It is difficult for the government to control the digital encrypted currency. The government can only regulate digital cryptography.  Smiley

For me government won't win over bitcoin. Maybe they will add more taxes on the process of converting bitcoin to fiat but they can't replace it or totally ban it. If possible bitcoin ban in our country I will still earn and work bitcoin where the country legalized it.

The initial problem comes from the new users who start their way from joinging the market without proper knowledge and understanding of how bitcoin actually works. So the government feels the need to interfere because of that and the scam accusations that had place in the market.

It is normal for the general population to stress if they heard a word investment mostly if they don’t recognize what it is. If the government prevails upon bitcoin, it normal to those individuals don't accept and comprehend the bitcoin. We wish that could not happen to prevail upon the government the bitcoin. This will be an enormous impact on us. Bitcoin has a major future, but nobody knows whether the administration and banks acknowledge it. The last nobody can stop the bitcoin.

The only thing that the government can control is the banning or accepting of bitcoin in a certain country. They may even limit the use of bitcoin  and sets strict regulations to it. But even so the government can only limit on the use of bitcoin but they cannot have any control with regards to the circulation of bitcoin and its value.

Regulations and prices are least likely the center of all our concerns and worries. Little by little  bitcoin will lose or begin to tarnish it's decentralized feature and taxes will surely be imposed.I believe that we begin to take in or accept bitcoins and cryptocurrency. The government can just do is to implement tax on exchanges so that those who are gaining in trading will forced to pay tax on it but which for me is just a normal.

It's not possible whatever happens Bitcoin never loose it's use in black market or dark web. So the price of Bitcoin may decrease but transaction or use will never be stop.

I think government cannot kill bitcoin in one blink on our eye. Because all we know that the people behind bitcoin is very smart specially in technology. And specially here in Philippines it is a free country so government cannot easily ban or kill bitcoin. The more possible thing to happen is government will put an tax or we can say government will put a higher tax to bitcoin to stay it alive and to become legal. So in that case we can say that government is already win against bitcoin because they will earn from us and from bitcoin without doing anhthing.

I believe winning the fight against the bitcoin can be really hard for the authorities but they try to do everything to destroy the bitcoin like limit its use etc.
