I can't explain why many crypto currencies move together with BTC, and some don't, has anyone analyzed this?

This is a general question I think /

Not specific to Blake Coin but all alt coins.

There are many reasons including special cases that appear obvious to me.

Some things appear more random.

Suggest you start thread in general alt coin discussion..

I can't explain why many crypto currencies move together with BTC, and some don't, has anyone analyzed this?

Just a quick update.

It's never got cold enough yet to make me consider putting the miners (my central heating!) on at all.

It's been a record-breaking November, with temps some 7 - 8 C above average. Damp & blustery yes, but mild.

...and no sign of winter on the horizon so far Grin

experiments are underway on a private test net to encode secret messages in the photon blockchain  , the use/purpose of this may be revealed in the future if I deem it wise.

I am posting this to the blake coin thread and will post to the photon thread

If anyone has allready perfected / or done similar work to save me time experiments i would encourage you to get in touch with me in private prefereably using pgp but not out in the open

Merged mining on EU3 is working?

The number of unconfirmed PHO has been decreasing throughout the day even though the miners are running at full steam Cheesy

edit:
mmp seems to be running ok on eu3 and the auto admin is also on so it should reset if mmp crashes

will keep an eye on it in case of issues though

edit2:
I see a cron that is getting slow processing but why hmm?

edit3:
made some minor tweaks lets see if that runs better  Smiley

When both my miners run, I have around 150K PHO unconfirmed. But today that number has been dropping and now it is at 3K. Other coins seem to be fine.

As the temp here has dived 8 C overnight, I re-started my main (HD7990) miner about 1/2 hour ago.

No 'issues' seen so far - but it's early days innit?
