Well, I had a "Processing Shipment" status order, cancelled after 4-5 days...
And a new one, just added to the collection few minutes ago (purchased by by the buyer yesterday night).

Was societyhai your buyer ? ( tho he only has positive feedback and I hope it will be a smooth deal).

No, it wasn't him.
I think I'm not allowed to write the name down of the buyer, but it wasn't him.

I just complimented him..  Roll Eyes

But if a buyer is using some stolen credit cards or gift cards then posting his name here may only help reporting and banning him..

If it was a legit buy then it would not had a reason to be canceled..

Did he get any negative feedback ?

Talking about the last cancelled order:
He had 2 neutral feedbacks (yesterday evening). Since he said, he already paid (yesterday), I sent a message (this morning), copying the Purse.io support, asking clarification about the cancellation.

I'm experiencing one more attempt by the same guy, NOW: order accepted -> Processing Shipment
Current total feeds, now:  3 neutral, 0 transactions.
Let's see what happens (how it could be different ? Sad )

EDIT: the support is currently following this case Wink


Cancelled again. The buyer reports a cancellation performed by Amazon, without any specified reason.

In my last order Amazon canceled an in-transit shipment, then shipped again (using Fedex instead of UPS like the first time), and then Fedex claimed we refused delivery but they were never even on our property. I let the bidder on Purse know and the escrow was canceled, but it was weird all around.

Another user has just purchased my item. This one with 1 negative feed, 1 total transaction.

I've seen some oddities myself, same purse user and multiple Amazon accounts, talked with Amazon and two of the three Amazon accounts were being investigated for unauthorized activity. Talked to Purse and they stepped up with a refund but the sad thing is the purse user is one of the most prolific on the entire site and that user just made two more buys from my order list...

I've had maybe 1/3 of my orders go through that, some sellers are either trying to play a game of arbitrage or they are trying to source things from 3rd party sellers and are using fake Amazon order IDs. Not sure which but it happens frequently..

So, you are confirming me this is a Purse.io "structural" issue... it's not me I'm doing something uncorrect. Thank you.

If the prolific user you are talking about is their VIP buyer I have seen multiple amazon accounts also. Purse support didn't seem to think it is a problem. It looks to me like some of the users are purchasing bitcoin for third parties. The VIP buyer i am referring to is from Mumbai. (or appears to be based on a google search) Since India is a large emerging market  I just assumed he is running a business providing this service.

Not sure if it is an issue or not but I have not had any problems yet.

I understand that there is no way of knowing the actual status of the package until it is delivered, unless the buyer provides you the tracking number, right ?
Can I get some information from Amazon while providing them the order ID ? Or is it confidential ?

Amazon's system picked up a problem mid shipment.. Notified me of an issue, I talked with an operator and they stated the Amazon account in question was being investigated by an account specialist for suspicious activity. Took the opportunity to ask about another since the same Purse user delivered another order with another Amazon account, that account was also being investigated for suspicious activity.. In short 2 for 3 so far from that user, given that I am keeping good records so I know what came from what user.

Purse did an excellent job acknowledging the issue, took about one day to receive a refund. In that regard they were excellent..

Different Amazon IDs as in different people with completely different accounts..

It is not the spender that causes that. The shipping from Amazon can be different based on the country the buyer is in.



Shouldnt it be only because of the target address, which is the spenders one? I mean the packages always have the same way.

I "forgot" at the beginning too and got messages about that. Still offers got taken. Guess some buyers dont care about giving a bit extra discount. Though when its too much they will cancel.

You would think but I have gotten feedback from buyers that they get hit with extra charges. Gift cards are a good example. Most have free shipping even if you do not have Prime but some buyers from other countries get hit with $25 to send a $50 gift card.

I have assumed that it is because all of the Amazon sites are not linked like we think they should be. If you are in Europe and hit a wishlist it opens your countries site and attempts to fill the order. My original response was just to clear up the example given above. The spender is in Europe and a European buyer would not have the extra shipping elusive1 was talking about.

Normally wishlists are completely divided by amazon countries. I have lists for .com .co.uk and .de and there is no connection besides other amazons asking, at the top of the page, if i would not like to go to my countries amazon.

And gift cards... i cant let gift cards from other countries be send to me. gift codes doesnt work with purse at all, gift cards dont ship to my country. I searched for a forwarder but they want a formal letter, signed by a notary to process my letters.  Roll Eyes As if i would pay one for that.

Maybe some countries have special rules about gift cards. Some extra tax on it?


I am not talking about $2-3, sometimes it is 2X the price of the item. Generally, I am not talking about new sellers as well. As I only buy, perhaps i am wrong, but if before you post your item, you walk the order through to your address in Amazon, won't that show the correct price with shipping, duty, and tax included?

No. When you create the wishlist it will show shipping and tax based on your information. Purchasers from other countries sometimes have additional charges. I run into this when purchasing from a Canadian sellers sometimes. (I am in US)

I feel your frustration because in my Canadian example sometimes it works out and sometimes Amazon hits me with $40 shipping for a $20 item. Not sure what causes the difference.

When you call them, or you are in the chat, then ask for a member of the wishlist team, since they otherwise will be a pain. The normal staff does know nothing.

Then they wont tell you tracking number, but after you confirmed destination, and so on, you can get the info if your items are on the way to the address you specify, when you gave the order number.

Yes. On amazon.com it allows a prediction too, so you dont have to go through the whole process. Though i cant imagine they would give there different values than at the end of the process.

Its really a pain ordering from an amazon thats not your own countries one. The fees are somewhat hefty often. So that each discount is eaten fast.

Purse should really hurry to offer verification of buyers. Then they could broaden their market, would have to pay back less to scammed users and so on. Investors should be behind this. Dont know what they think.

My wishlist for Purse.io

1. Allow all sellers to post any discount they want, let the market sort it out.


2. Allow sellers to be more precise in the discounts they request, why have 20 people at $284.07.


3. Faster responses in CS. Though to be fair, in urgent matters they are reasonably fast.


4. Permanent sort check-boxes, should not need to keep clicking on United States, Japan, or whomever in the pull-down menu.


5. Add a column for exact percentage above Bitcoin price. This will help in the international postings as well.


6. Automatically remove or disable a sellers posting after X unique cancellations, much like Craigslist's flagging . This will slow the daily routine of finding out after you accept an offer, it is going to the Comoros Islands with $45 shipping and $30 duty that was not included.

7. Remove ratings for buyers, this only causes buyers to habitually rate sellers as perfect as they fear retaliation. The only thing a buyer can do badly is fraud, that should be a termination offense anyway. Of course what can the seller do badly, the seller can only not communicate or confirm, anything else like claiming the package didn't arrive is fraud I suppose.
