It's evident that the product is the most significant thing for the project, otherwise for what all these people have gathered? Just collect money and go to the islands?
I have as an example the Bitclave project. They have launched already two good products - Matchico and Desearch, one more product Base is going to be launched.
You see what the team is doing for sure.

In my opinion they will be have a good credit for a project, because it proves that they are not playing some games and intend in real business. When they do not have any product then I believe no investors would come.

It is the most important part imo. No matter how good communication is, at some point people will be expecting an effective product.
If the project doesn't have a serious product, people will see it and dump.

Yes of course a product is a huge factor for the project. Imagine if you already have a working product and you are just utilizing the block chain or a crypto to just further and enhance your business. Many investor will be very interested on the project since you have a working product already working
