Why do people buy high and sell low

These people must be carried away by the market movements. I also observed some people who are buying during the times of strong pumps. Perhaps because they believe that the pump will last long. And yet they ended up complaining because they are losing a good portion of their investment, and then they sell their coins cheap. I think that this strategy, if it may be called such, is not really good.

in this scenario, when they buy they think that the price will continue to go up, and the reason for the sale is that they simply panic

I bet, they are doing that because of the current state of bitcoin now. They are doing the what we call "panic selling" which decreases their assets but almost increases their liabilities. They are afraid that they will not be able to get the exact amount they pay when they bought bitcoin, that's why they atleasr think, selling at low price would not hurt much.

I've been one of those people, the people that buy at the high points of crypto and then sell low, losing my money and then later on losing out on a good amount of profits which I could've made. I'd like to know some of the reasons that people do this, besides doing it to cut their losses as that one is my reason.

I think they buy high sell low because they are going to the point that they emergency  need money that's why they don't have a choice but only to widraw my profits and converted to fiat.

I have felt it. Perhaps the main reason is that he began to join the world of crypto and not yet know when the lowest price and when prices will rise. Because this trivial thing can hurt us. And the victim of that loss is me when the panic prices fall down I finally sell cheaply.
