Google to BAN crypto advertising-includes Youtube

Wont be a big problem for the normal users,those ICOs who are using google's paid advertising would only be affected because they wont longer be accepted to the advertising program of google,youtube has been partnered by google so it means both google and youtube wont allow cryptocurrency related advetisements .

This is not necessarily a bad news, since some of my friends have lost all their Ethers and altcoins due to clicking the phishing sites promoted by the all-mighty Google.

Dude the topic is not even phishing sites? Are you sure you are in the right thread?this is about he youtube and google banning for the ICO advertisement and crypto  related ads,i didnt read anything about the phishing sites here??

Back to the TS,it doesnt mean that google and youtube will ban all those bloggers who has the crypto related topics in their blogs and youtube channel,users can still promote these ICOs in their own will but they wont ban your accounts!

Government and other traditional businesses trying to "kill" cryptocurrencies by banning. Well I think word of mouth is still the best form of advertising, as long as there is social media (even without paid ads), crypto will grow.

Bitcointalk are growing massively so it means if all of these big companies will ban cryptocurrency ads,the only way that these ICOs will be promoted will be here in bitcointalk,social media websites if restricted the cryotocurrencies will be the hardest thing because our community will struggle to grow but there are so many alternatives in google ads so it wont be a big problem.

It will include every google ad that you see in all the websites.
Forums, porn, youtube or anything that is using their service will be gone.
That means they will have to create it individually and pay them individual also.
That really hurts a lot the advertising of all this ICO's.

they may not be doing ICO assholes any favours, they certainly are helping out their users. imagine how much smaller something like bitconnect would've been without advertising. maybe not small enough but perhaps the spread would've been slowed before it popped.

now all these guys will have to come up with quality projects that show up in actual searches. and there's still the PR angle which really doesn't seem explored enough.

Might be a good thing because these scam projects will have less chance of getting noob investors,less advertisement will be less chance of getting scam especiall those people who arent aware that these projects are going to steal their money.So it might affect the legit ICOs but in general it will help our environment to eliminate these scam projects.

What a bad news. I think this is the most effect thing to the whole crypto market at the moment. Maybe the whales are trying to take advantage of these bad news to collect lower pice crypto from panic sellers that why the whole market is painted in red, at top 100 on coinmarketcap, it's really hard to find out a crypto has green color . Do you guys think Google will really do this? Will they accept a big loss by banning crypto advertising?

You guys are funny,if this is really true it wont be a big problem because normal users will still be able to post and promote these ICOs the only ones that will be affected are the ICOs which are using google paid advertising program but the users which has cryptocurrency related blogs and channels can still promote these ICOs without any problem.

If facebook really did banned all of the accounts that are posting cryptorelated articles why theres still facebook bounty campaigns? it doesnt mean that google and youtube will ban your blogs and vlogsites if you are cryptocurrency related websites,they wont accept any advertisement from these ICOs this only means that there will be no ads with cryptocurrencies but you can still use your profiles from posting crypto related things.

Yeah, its purely an advertisement banned and I think not on your account because it is still happening on facebook to post about crypto related. Well, this might have an impact on cryptomarket but I know this is just part of the reaction of big businesses who feel threated by digital currency.

I'm not sure if this is the best idea really, where will they stop then if they get away with banning crypto ads.
What will happen when "real world" companies start accepting certain cryptos and want to advertise the fact, will they be banned also?

As much as they are doing it for our benefit so we don't get ripped off, everyone has a mind and if they blindly invest in these things then that is their choice, you can ban everything, you get those phone scams where people try to trick people into giving over their details or sending money, we can't go ahead and ban phones.

People have to take responsibility for their mistakes.

Latest news isn't any good. Cryptocurrency markets are becoming increasingly distressed. Cryptocurrency developers and CEOs have come together to set up their own social media now. That is annoying, none could have expected such a news from the technology dependent giant Google a ban on the promotion of cryptocurrency and related activities. I think they might have found cryptocurrency to outlaw their growth through the innovative technology that is backing the entire system. Google wont ban users from posting and sharing cryptocurrency related,because they will only restrict these ICOs from being accepted in their paid advertising program and it doesnt mean that users will get ban if they promote ICOs in their own will,google only wants to protect people from potential scams just like what facebook did.
