What do you consider the "current situation" to be?

Amazing Company?   Grin

Yes truly AMAZING company LOL but not in a good way.. In just 12 hours I gathered over 10% of the shareholders to join taking legal actions against Labcoin IMO that is amazing and the way that Sam is running things is even more amazing, way to go Sam you are truly amazing.. but not in a good way.

So Sam when is the next update?

Yes, enjoy the lawyer sending legal notices to imaginary "Sam Noi" I'm sure you will get somewhere. If in case you somehow get a hold of Labcoin which you won't, once the lawyer has taken all the money as fees and every gets refunded 5% you can all rejoice lol.

The lawyer can only take money from its client. And the client has to make an arrangement about this with him.

It doesnt matter that Sam Noi doesnt exist. The founder of labcoin cant simply get away by claiming he sold to an anonymous person. If he cant provide proof that this person exists its the same like he never sold. So he would be in charge.

I dont really await that something good will come from labcoin anymore. It would be a real surprise now.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

If anyone wants to have a chance of recovering anything I suggest calling authorities this has already been done I believe, as ninelives and some other forum members investigations seem to be using criminals, I doubt they care about shareholders, they will probably just take everything for themselves given the amount of money at stake.

Or maybe they are criminals with morals.

If I wanted to make a load of BTC, I would do exactly what he has done.... except I would then have a 3rd party buy up all those shares at .0001.

I would hand over control of labcoin to someone more respectable and have them immediately pay out a massive dividend.  I would publicly admit that I was holed up and on a bender and say that I am truly sorry.  The new owner of labcoin would then keep paying out dividends like they were supposed to and my guess is that after a few weeks, the price of the stock would go up.  At that time, have the 3rd party sell the shares and pocket the profit of a share that went up 10000%.

At least, that's how I would play the long con.

Those missing dividends might have been used to buy back shares.
240k shares is around 3 days of dividends. (0.0002 per share)

8 days of missing dividends until now. Approx. 100 BTC. Or 1.000.000 shares!

That's pretty reasonable, though there will be a few malcontents demanding pix & verifiable hashrate.
The problem is, you also need a stable exchange.  Big enough to have volume & lax enough with auditing/IDs/annoying stuff like that.
Sadly, that's quickly becoming scarce.

I posted that as an example of a long con.  Also it means that there is a slight possibility that everyone's shares could possibly be worth something in the future.  I am in the same boat as everyone else... though I own a ridiculously low amount (203 shares).  Based on current fiat rates, I lost a cup of coffee on labcoin.  As for the people that lost more than I, I feel for you.

My guess is that 95% of the group buys/business propositions/etc. have someone who is getting a taste of the action.  Either the negotiated price is slightly lower than what the group pays, or they are gaining interest on deposits waiting for purchase.  It happens.  The fact is, don't trust anyone with anything more than you are willing to lose.

I am taking over the ritual of posting BitchCycle's Daily Action Item Checklist, since he broke his promise to do it himself.

Quote
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=305686.0

It's been 36 days since this list was posted.

Unfortunately,

none of Sam's action items have been completed.

The list remains as it is.  I am including some suggestions added by the community, though it is important to note that these have not been agreed to by Mr. Noi.

I am PMing a reminder copy to Mr. Noi as soon as this is posted.

NOTES FROM THE Q&A

INCLUDING A TO-DO LIST FOR SAMUELE NOI.

I am PMing a copy of this to-do list to the Labcoin account as a reminder of the action items from this session.

I am also asking Mr. Noi to inform us when these items are completed.

Actions for the next 24 hours.

Skype session with Ukyo regarding Bitfunder listing
Posting to the forum the amount of BTC left in the company funds.
    Change pool to Eligius
Make the labcoin portfolio public on BTCT

Other actions to complete ASAP

Verification of ID.  A good start would be writing "I am Samuele Noi of Labcoin" and the date on a piece paper, and photograph yourself holding it.
Photos of the hosting facilities as well as the operational boards
Send a sample board to TheSeven.  This should be done immediately as the sooner he gets the board the sooner he can provide advice. Delays have a direct cost.
Exact power consumption figures for the chips/boards

Actions for the community to complete ASAP

Nominate a panel of community representatives to work closely with Samuele. This should be done immediately. We complain about delays from Sam, let's not do what we criticize him for.

- COMPLETED

Suggested additional items from the community

Meet with a shareholder in person in Shenzhen / Hong Kong. Lunch/coffee/tea meeting etc.  Merv77 has indicated that he will be in town and available Oct 23 - Nov 11. An in person meeting with a third party could soothe a lot of anxieties.
Provide a full accounting for all money spent so far.  A spreadsheet showing expenses and dates would be ideal.

THIS LIST WILL BE REPOSTED DAILY WITH ITEMS CHECKED OFF AS THEY ARE COMPLETED

The signed address is strange. Why still add anything to it at all?  Why are the amounts so small?  Even just the hashing we can see (and he may have additional hashing running that we can't see) produces more BTC than is being sent to that address.

Nothing about this makes sense any more.  It certainly doesn't make sense for a legitimate operation, but it also doesn't make much sense for a scam.

Very strange.
