Hello everyone,

I am in crypto world from August 2017 and learn a lot and still have to learn a lot.

Let me share few things with you which are very important.

How to find weather ICO is scam or not

There are few things which we can check to avoid scams.

1. Do check their whitepaper , if you don't have any technical knowledge then you can take help from google to comes to know about project reviews because there are many website who review about ICO's
2. Do check their Team members, try to find their social accounts and do some background about them and their past experience.
3. Check out their Roadmap, check out discussion of projects on bitcointalk, reddit, telegram and other social channels.
4. Check their partnership details. Try to contact their partners to confirm it.

As once you select that you want to participate in ICO, then what you have to keep in mind.
1. No one from team member will contact you personally through telegram or other channels to contribute to you. Only ways of contribution are either through their website or that is mentioned on their website.
2. There are many fake admin profiles on telegram , they will personally message you and will give you contribution address to send ETH/BTC or whatever. Don't listen to them and ban them immediately.
3. Only trust official websites, Admin and team member.
4. you will get email from hackers , don't open them.
5. use 2fa and other securities to your accounts on exchanges.

Recently i get email from fake cryptopia exchange team that someone is trying to access my account. I click on that link and found that it was almost similar to real cryptopia link. So avoid these types of email.

If you have any question or need any help, leave your post below. I will try my best to help all of you.

Thank you and all the best.

A serious partnership always has an official announcement from the company. For instance, we are partnering with the french electronic giant Archos for the promotion of their wonderful Safe Mini-T hardware wallet, and this is their official press announcing the partnership: https://www.archos.com/corporate/press/press_releases/EN_PR_ARCHOS_Innovative_Bioresearch_20180709.pdf

Knowledge is power.
Always be up to date with information.
The crypto world is very volatile, with values constantly changing. Find a way to use that to your advantage.
Knowledge is the most important thing that I think investors should have in order to succeed in this market. Learn from the basics of cryptocurrency, learn from the experience of market participants and from your own experience to help investors become more successful.
Indeed, having a knowledge in this world is the best weapon you will have because entering in different world without having any knowledge yet, making transaction will only lead to your loss. You should learn first how these things work, read and figure some tricks that could help you. Besides, don't let you emotions overcome you because it will be a problem. Just read some articles and gain experience you need to become successful.

thanks for the suggestion I will try to remember everything you said because the advice you mentioned is very helpful for me ..
i am just a newbie in the crypto world so still need guidance from the teachers ...
There are many things that a new comer should keep in mind. But the easy way for safe investment in cryptocurrency is a big and authentic exchange platform. They know the credibility of every currency and will keep your money in safe crypto. The rest is your choice which currency you want to buy and from where but exchange is very important.

I think yes, many things that one mistake can lose everything, in the crypto world must take care of the moves involved especially in transferring an investment to another market, because there is no refund when it is lost.

Addition to the OP'S great advice, prepare some project related questions and discuss it with the ICO team in their commumity chat group. Many of the scam ICO's are just doing a copy paste of other projects whitepaper and by engaging with them we can somehow identify if they are really knowledgable or totally clueless about what they are doing.

In addition, you should bear in mind how risky crypto investment is because it is very volatile that can make your investment plummets down so deep during crisis. So that requires you to be a risk taker in the first place and knows how to hold your crypto assets during crisis.

It is true that most of the scam and hacking happens to them who are greedy and when they see the email where it gives the link and tell you to fill the details and you are eligible to get bitcoins or free coins, All sorts of candy offers will be their. Even some time they will tell to download the file and run it so you will start earning bitcoins freely, this is also one type of virus exe which will hack it and the hacker will have full control of your computer so he will hack it and steal all important documents and empty your wallets.

So their you should always be alert and secure by not getting greedy by seeing candy offers.
We need to also be very careful about what we do with our emails you may receive a phishing link or if you run an exe file you could get a copy and paste virus, this is a very old virus but people keep falling for it, and what it does is that whenever you are trying to send money it replaces the address you want to send coins to for an address from the hacker and since most people do not double check what they are doing then they send money to the hacker without even knowing it.

Yeah this is very helpful. Some of this is what am I doing everytime that I see investment or any ICO related websites. Everyone should read this so that they are aware in this kind of scam. Some people are trying to scam other people just for their sake. Not knowing that they are not influencing others to invest in cryptocurrency because of the SCAM around it.

Definitely everything said in the OP was definitely true. However some teams are very slick and they are all in on the scam too. It's very hard to tell a scam sometimes - if it's hard in real life, it can be even harder with cryptocurrency.

All you can do is do your own research as you can. And if it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Obviously no doubt , this is really a good tips for the investors specially to those who are planning to invest in any ICO. In the recent time we've noticed a lot of scams in a cryptoworld and if you didn’t make any effort to study the project you’ll be a victim of scam, let’s keep our money always on the safe side even the risk is high. Thank you.

I am in crypto world from August 2017 and learn a lot and still have to learn a lot.

Let me share few things with you which are very important.

How to find weather ICO is scam or not

There are few things which we can check to avoid scams.

Well done on this, the content is all true, never trust anyone about sending any amount for investment always go the website and do it there.
2FA is the thing we should never forget, even they know our accounts they can't still do anything to it as long as you have 2fa.

Well it's very basic thing you need to know if you want to invest in any ICO. Even if you fully comply with the rule, there is no guarantee you will always win. Learn how to allocate finance, manage risk, and learn new technologies.

That is exceptionally enlightening OP. A debt of gratitude is in order for the guidance. I have heard a great deal of ICOs that ended up being a trick, there are some that are persuading, while they have assembled potential purchasers and financial specialists over a brief timeframe. The idea is great and the group is receptive to the majority of the inquiries that have been solicited, however by the end from the battle.. they have totally and absolutely gone dull. I trust the OP's message will profit the individuals who are still new to the possibility of digital currencies. Be sheltered and be watchful

Yes, these are the at least minimum precautions for not being scammed. You can check also their market cap on the site where coins are listed.

I think it is very nice and useful. what you give this can help the beginner to choose which ICO is good to do and profitable. My suggestion though that everything has been applied remains cautious, because the technology is getting ahead and growing. they will always have many ways to take advantage of it alone regardless of others.

There are too many points to note, especially for false administrators. Many new ICO investors are being cheated by them.
